Hi, I just got my old Lenovo PC able to boot into the installation of MacOS Sonoma. A little hard to tell you which board it uses, but it is a Ideacentre Y700-34USH. With an intel i5-6600 which should work with smbios iMac17.1. I created the OpenCore EFI with OCSimplify and added some extra KEXT files to try to get MacOS installed. Right now, Windows is the default so the machine will boot into windows on start unless I intervene. I had this problem before and the solution was to select macOS with a "control-enter", but that doesn't seem to be working right now. [► Source]

I'm trying to do a clean install of the latest Sonoma (10.14.7) on a 4TB Western Digital SATA SSD (2.5"). Latest OpenCore and careful selection and editing of the config.plist file. The board is a Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X and the cpu is an 8-core i9-9900. I have the USB thumb drive built and it boots to the installer. Has anyone got Sonoma to run on their HP 6300, i5 3470 CPU with a Video GT710? I'm still running Big Sur (installation used to be pretty easy on these a few years back using the stock hardware and the gt710). But just wondering if all is going to work with my hardware and Sonoma. I see there is an Opencore Github for the 6300/8300. But just wondering if will have better performance with an older OS. Hi all - I have two Comet Lake machines, both currently running OpenCore 1.0.0 and Sonoma 14.5. Neither one has been offered the update to 14.6. Wondering why this might be the case? On the check for updates, it tells me that I'm up to date. Both general apps and OS updates are allowed. I suppose this isn't a huge deal, but in case there are issues with Sequoia, I'd like to have the latest patches for Sonoma installed. Thanks for any help/answers. [► Source]

Just got ethernet working, and macOS sonoma installed. However, whenever I select macOS in the picker, and apple logo pops up, and loads into a completely grey screen with the cursor working, but then my PC restarts just a few seconds later. selecting macOS in the booter apple logo eventually shows up loads into a grey screen (cursor works btw) \ and... my pc restarts. For some reason, every time I boot into the sonoma installer, ethernet just simply does not work. (not even detected) I have an MSI B760, which uses the Realtek® RTL8125BG 2.5G LAN controller. This means that is should be covered by the LucyRTL8125Ethernet kext, however, ethernet does not work for me even with this kext installed. Why could this be happening?
