I’m trying to manually map my USB ports but they don’t work so I can’t figure out which ports are which, did anyone else have this issue and know how to fix it? All Inputs Randomly Disable - USBInjectAll related?
Image
Hello everyone, was wondering if anyone has had any issues that could point me in the correct direction. Been running my hackintosh since October and randomly I will get instances where all inputs just disable, USB or Bluetooth. I'm using a Fenvi t919 so it is plugged in to a USB header so that's why i'm assuming it might be related to USBInjectAll but would love any feedback from the community. submitted by /u/spiker369 [link] [comments] [► Source]

Hackintosh for GF! Catalina 10.15.4 | OpenCore 0.5.7

| i7-9700k | Gigabyte z390 D |iCloud +iMessage working! | Dual Boot PC Processing img zzy5m78w32w41... I gotta admit, it took me a while to get this thing to work, before this I had no experience in building PC’s, I got some help from a close friend who is really good at making PC’s and solving tech related problems. My GF is a graphic designer and she needed a new computer. She has been working with a Mac-book Pro 13 inch (2012) for the last 6 years, she used to get really frustrated with her computer due to the lack of speed. I didn't like seeing her like that, so then I had the idea to propose to her to make a Hackintosh, I only knew that it was a thing and have always wondered how to create one, she didn’t understand at the beginning until I started to explain to her how it kinda worked. She accepted, and since then we started to work with the budget she had. We bought the following parts: Gigabyte z390 D Intel Core i7-9700K ADATA Premier DDR4 16gb NVIDIA NVS 5...
Some devices work on all USB ports, yet some don't work on any and cause lag - Z370 OC Catalina Build
Image
I made a lengthy post about my issue a few days ago, and also tried the discord server but haven't had any luck. I'm writing this more easily digestible post in hope that it catches the right person's eye. On my new OC build, my USB storage devices are not recognized my any of my USB ports, and they often cause lag and freeze ups when plugged in or unplugged. However, my usb RAID array, microphone and mouse adapter work fine. For example: Plug in USB mouse receiver: works great Plug in USB storage device into same port: System lags and cant find the device in finder or disk utility. It can be found in system viewer or IOReg. Plug both of those devices into a hub and plug it into the same port: Mouse works, same behaviour with USB drive. Here is a link to my previous post, which has a lot of detail: https://old.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/g9pyjy/bizarre_usb_behaviour_on_catalina_opencore_z370/ Motherboard: Asus Z370-P II (Bios version 1203) CPU: i5 9600k Graph...
Please help me connect my Logitech Wireless Mouse
Image
Hello, I''m running Hackintosh Mojave 10.14.5, I also have Windows 10 on the same pc, but both OS run on separate SSD's and boot separately. I recently bought a Logitech MX Ergo Mouse for ergonomics when I'm working in OSX, and I have the Logitech Unifying Device dongle plugged into a MB usb port. In windows 10 everything connects fine, no problems. On OSX I have the latest Logitech Options software and OSX can see the Unifying dongle no problem, but it's not pairing to the mouse. Since the dongle can pair with up to 6 Logi devices, it shows a device paired from the windows 10 side, but doesn't show battery and firmware info, I've deleted it and tried re-pairing in OSX to no avail. I had to set up the privacy options manually for the Logi software. Has anyone been successful pairing a Logi wireless mouse? I understand some people have had connection problems with wireless mice, and especially Logitech wireless mice. I've search all over and can't...
4k 60hz MST MacBook Pro 16"
Image
I have looked everywhere and this is the last resort, apologies this goes against the rules but apple won't help. Since upgrading to 10.15.4 my 4k display Asus PQ321Q won't work and just shows a black no signal screen. This monitor was working fine a few weeks ago in 10.15.3 4k@60hz but now the only way to get it to work is set it to SST at 30hz which is unsuable for me. I tried updating to 10.15.5 beta and now went back and reinstalled clean to 10.15.3 but still nothing. Have tried resetting PRAM and SMC a few times but nothing. Thought maybe it's the Display port cable so tested a new one and still nothing. It's kind of ridiculous it's not working when it was fine before. Works fine in windows with both cables (USB C - Displayport), so it's an OS X driver/software issue, holy crap it's been like 5 years with 4k monitors why can't Apple make this work... I’m trying to install Hackintosh High Sierra on an HP Notebook - 15 - dw0086nr, but during the boot to the USB it hangs on a buffer process. Would hackintoshing my PC fix my audio delay issue with an external audio interface?
Image
I use a Scarlett 2i2 audio interface with a PC (specs on bottom) to record music, guitar and vocals. I used to have a mac with Logic Pro X and i loved how well it worked and it never had a delay so i could listen while i played without it feeling jarring. Now that im back to my PC though, there is pretty much always a delay of a few hundred ms and it causes music production to go a lot slower. Its a USB 2.0 audio interface so im not sure why it works so well with mac but it does. I had a 2017 macbook pro base model. Now i have a custom gaming desktop with a Tuf Gaming x570 motherboard, Ryzen 7 2700, RX 580, 16gb of ram. The software i now use is Mixcraft 8 but i have noticed the audio delay in any DAW on windows. My main quesiton, will hackintoshing fix this or does it sound like more of a hardware limitation? submitted by /u/turntwice [link] [comments] [► Source]

Success a new Hackintosh, but what to do with iGPU

This time i decided to build a hackintosh specifically for FCPX. X79 and USB fix
Image
Has anyone been experiencing issues when it comes to the ASUS Sabertooth x79 MOBO? I’m currently in a Mojave install with only USB 2.0 support. All my ports seem to work, but not at 3.0 speeds. I have been attempting the RehabMan fix for USB, however, I keep going into my system info and IOReg but I only see USB 2.0 and my ports are named PR and HP under EH01. I’m not sure what’s going on with that and I can’t find anyone else with a similar issue. I also have an issue if I plug in a USB 3.0 device my system freezes and I can’t do anything in it. ASUS Sabertooth x79 Intel 4930k EVGA 640 2GB (Yeah I know my graphics card is crap, but I only do audio so sue me) I believe I used UniBeast to install, but basically edited my clover using RampageDev (I miss him). To add on, I boot into my device with minimal boot flags and it runs smoothly when I’m using Logic Pro, but I would love to have 3.0 capability and just a more solid Vanilla build. Any help is very much appreciated! sub...
Starting with Hackintosh
Image
Hello everybody. I'm just starting learning about Hackintosh. The laptop I have is a Vivobook X571GT with an i5-9300h and a GTX1650 as a GPU. Thru the process, I have already finished using transmac and making a bootable drive of Catalina on a external hard drive (will this also work?). And I have followed the instructions of putting Clover in another flash drive (which at this point is also another external HDD where I made a partition so i can make it fat32). So I went to the UEFI, turned off vTD, Secured Boot, Fast boot. But sadly my UEFI software doesn't have the option for Enabling Legacy mode and enabling Legacy USB Support. But then my laptop read the second hard drive with clover (the one i partitioned for fat32) so I put it up first on boot priorities. After I restarted, ASUS Logo comes on, then it's just pitch black. What did I do wrong? Specs:i5-9300hGTX165024GB RAM500gb SSDVivobook X571GT submitted by /u/lorp162000 [link] [comments] [► Source]
Touchpad with VoodooI2C kext, works, but sometimes randomly stops working.
Image
Hello, I successfully hackintoshed my Dell Inspiron 13, and everything is working 100%. The only issue I have left is sometimes the touchpad will randomly give out. I can recover it by putting it to sleep, and waking it up again. But that's a bit of an annoyance. There's not really a specific time frame when it happens either. I did make a patched DSDT, and it happens whether in polling mode (applying the voodoo patch, but not the GPIO patch) and interrupt (applying both). I followed the GPIO pinning guide, and from what I can tell it's pinned, but I'm not exactly sure how it works, I might be wrong. Here are a list of kexts I'm using: AppleALC IntelBluetoothFirmware, IntelBluetoothInjector (for internal Bluetooth) Lilu RtWlanU, RtWlanU1827 (for USB WiFi) SMCBatteryManager, SMCLightSensor, SMCProcessor, SMCSuperIO USBInjectAll VirtualSMC VoodooI2C, VoodooI2CHID, VoodooPS2Controller Whatevergreen Anyone else have experience with this, or any fixes? ...
System stuck at “End Random Seed”
Image
(This is a continuation of another problem I had: https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/g93etq/cannot_get_uhd_630_to_work_properly/ ) After the problems mentioned in the post above, I ended up trying to make a new vanilla usb installer and installing a brand new vanilla installation of Mojave. (I was using an Olarila Mojave image before) I followed the guide that was listed in the subreddit, and configured my config.plist to what was shown for my cpu (Coffee Lake). I made a macOS Mojave install disk, and put the clover files in the efi partition. Clover starts, but when I click on my installer, it just hangs on “End Random Seed” and doesn’t proceed with the boot. Can someone help???
