Native IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext Engaging Airpods or Bluetooth Microphones causes computer to crash / freeze / devices to disconnect - FIX
Image
Hi Everybody! I'm separating out this fix from my last post as I'm getting DM's for people asking how to fix their Airpods with this kext if they didn't use my EFI, but I'd rather keep the discussion in a thread so everybody can have input on their specific situation. This fix should work for all builds unable to engage a bluetooth mic, whether it be through Airpods or another headset when trying to use the native IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext provided bluetooth drivers on your OpenCore installation, regardless of your build. I've recently gotten highlighted on the GitHub issue, but hopefully this post will bring more awareness to the project. The Problem Below is a description of the problem you might be facing: Audio would work fine through my Airpods Pro while listening to music and watching videos, but as soon as I hopped into a meeting whether it be Teams or Zoom, any engaging of the mic would cause my computer to freeze or audio will fizzle out and die...
NVIDA on my Genine Macbook Pro, and future "Pro" M1 designs.
Image
Hey guys, I have a late 2014 MBP, and the GPU in it is an NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB. I think it might have been the last model before their big bust up. But everything still works obviously, and I'm on Mojave 10.14.6. (Pretty sure I could run Big Sur, but I am making sure it or Catalina won't break my software before upgrading. So.... what exactly is stopping NVIDIA GPU's from running on a Hackintosh? (Without lots of hacks). Does MacOS just keep supporting old Mac's which shipped with NVIDIA parts? Could someone drop an older NVIDA GPU into a Hackintosh and it would work? And,... speculative question here... Could Apple enter the GPU race with an ARM based unit? Will future "M1" chips make them irrelevant? Or will Apple have to continue working with AMD for its true top of the line machines like the 16" MBP maxed out, or the iMac Pro and Mac Pro? Could we at least see a return of eGPU's? (And could they ever repair things with Nvidia, so that ...
Can you help me clarify some doubts about using Bootcamp for installing Windows 10 on High Sierra Macbook?

Once I have both OSX and then Windows 10 on bootcamp, can I see/modify the files of other partition when I use the macOS ? And I'm able to see/modify the files of OSX partition when I use the Windows 10 ? Can I do 3 partition: 1 with macOS, 1 with bootcamp Windows, 1 exFat only for having files so I can access them from both the operative systems? And in this case will I have the same speed to access files as if I had them directly in the partition of the OS I'm using at that moment? Thank you in advance for all your help and suggestions!! submitted by /u/john25mr [link] [comments] [► Source]
Windows 10 don't want to keep assigned letters for EFI and storage partitions, which is a pain because I need to use diskpart or disk manager every time I want to access one of those.
Image
This is my setup: Disk 0 (as listed in diskpart): 2TB 2.5" SATA SSD with: Partition 1: a useless EFI partition automatically created by macOS when formating the disk for the first time I guess Partition 2: a 931GB partition for macOS storage (my home folder is in there) a 128MB unallocated area Partition 3: a 931GB NTFS partition for shared storage between Windows and macOS. This one is supposed to mount at startup as D:/ (as it did before) on Windows but it wont unless I give it a letter using the disk management utility. It mounts as expected on macOS using Paragon NTFS. another 128MB unallocated area (i dont care but: why?) Disk 1: 500GB M.2 SATA SSD with Windows installation Partition 1: 530MB Windows recovery partition Partition 2: 100MB Windows EFI partition Partition 3: a 16MB partition appearing in diskpart but not diskmanager (we dont mind I guess) Partition 4: 465GB actual Windows partition (C:/) Disk 2: 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD with macOS installation: Pa...
OC Dual-Booting Questions
Image
So essentially I have iMac19,1 working on Big Sur with iservices and everything, but I just want to be able to boot into Windows as well. So I'm following the dortania guide which I will link below on how to do this, and I'm stuck. It says to "expand WindowsSupport.dmg and place it somewhere Windows can get." Does that mean to put the decompressed files in the USB drive in the resources? Also, it says to run an exe file, so I am completely stumped here. Was I already supposed to have installed Windows? I have two drives, one with Big Sur and the other one is an empty exFat drive I chose not to touch because I don't want to lose Big Sur. What should my next steps be? https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/multiboot/bootcamp.html#installation https://preview.redd.it/xdzlniwtflg61.png?width=922&format=png&auto=webp&s=41a55b26ce16051a6e6bdd1b589f5c54b5be439d submitted by /u/jdyshin [link] [comments] [► Source]
Windows drive missing from Startup Disk
Image
Hi all, I have a working 11.2 install using OC 0.6.6, with Windows 10 and Mac OS on seperate drives. Multiboot works fine through the OpenCore picker, however I want to be able to use the Startup Disk utility like on a real Mac. The windows drive does not show in the Startup Disk, so currently I can't boot from Mac to Windows without using the OC picker. The dortania guide only covers installing drivers on Windows. What should I do to make the drive visible in Startup Disk? Observations: The windows drive is not mounted in MacOS by default I have never ran the BootCamp utility in Mac OS I have configured LauncherOption Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/tobitronics [link] [comments] [► Source]
Can I Dual Boot on My Hackintosh?
Image
*** IF THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT SUBREDDIT TO ASK THIS QUESTION, PLEASE DIRECT ME TO ANOTHER SUB WHERE I CAN GET HELP BEFORE DELETING POST*** Can I safely create a Dual Boot MacOS/Windows drive without messing up my build? Using Bootcamp or anything? I am using my Hackintosh for a job I am working from home, which uses HP'S RGS to remote into the office. While the MacOS supports the RGS application, there are some functions I cannot perform unless running on a windows system. Also, I miss computer gaming so it'd be a plus if it is possible to Dual Boot. Although VM's (which I know aren't open for discussion here) are an option, it is not preferred. I don't want to begin the process of creating a Dual boot at the risk of messing up my system/Drive, so any insight on whether or not this is possible, and how to do it would be appreciated. submitted by /u/duhFoxyGrandpa [link] [comments] [► Source]
Any successful AMD 6000 series GPU builds?
Image
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has upgraded to or built with either of the following cards by AMD: - 6800XT - 6900XT If so, how is it going? Any issues? Are they fully supported in MacOS? And how is performance for what you do? (For me, that would be Video editing etc, and some gaming, although gaming will likely be done in bootcamp). submitted by /u/BenFromPerth23 [link] [comments] [► Source]
Desperately looking for the iMac 2017 Wifi Card Windows 10 drivers..

When building my Hackintosh I originally built it using a fenvi.. In a nutshell it was a subpar solution. Processing img 7howfrglsob61... Switch from clover to OC bonked Windows on a separate drive.
Image
I've been running Windows and MacOS on two separate drives. Games on Windows everything else on Mac. I decided to switch to OC to facilitate upgrading to Big Sur. The install went fine and I'm currently typing this on my Hackintosh. All iservices are working fine, sound wifi, bluetooth, the works. Windows showed up on OC once, but I didn't go into it because I was still setting everything up. Once I tried adding the GUI, though, windows disappeared. I restored a version of my EFI folder without the changes that I did to get the GUI working, and Windows still didn't show up. Nor is it able to be found in my bios. Disc Utility still says that the drive is there and can see that it has about 300 gb of used storage, but I can't find a way to get into it. If I leave OC open too long before entering the Hackintosh loader it gives an error that says OCB: StartImage Failed - Aborted After the fact, it goes back to the OC boot and I'm able to get into the Ha...

How to get Windows to show up in OC boot list?
Image
Installed macOS Big Sur on nvme drive. Installed Windows 10 on different SSD. Windows 10 overwrote my EFI on the macOS drive -- no biggy, I just backed it up and put the macOS EFI back. So now I can boot into macOS just fine, but Windows doesn't show up as an option in the OC bootloader. Do I need to add something to the macOS EFI partition to boot Windows (I have a backup of the Windows EFI if that's handy)? Do I need to somehow create an EFI partition on the Windows drive (presumably this is what it would have done if I disconnected the nvme drive before installing Windows, but that'd be a pain)? Also, would appreciate a little clarification on the Dortania multiboot guide. Am I correct to assume Bootstrap.efi is just to prevent Windows from overwriting the macOS EFI (fwiw I already set that up)? And that Bootcamp is an option for multiboot, but it's not required? Ideally I'd just like to select Windows from the OC bootloader and it just think it's a normal...
Can't install windows through Boot Camp Assistant

Hello Reddit, I had freshly downloaded the windows 10 from official website, it is indeed x64 yet bootcamp is showing this error. I also have a different modified windows 10 iso from ghost spectre, 64 bit, still showing same error. I believe it's because of the MacOs I'm using but I'm new, literally installed it yesterday so I really appreciate it if someone could help. Thanks (*) I haven't used normal method because my internet is not ideal to download 8Gb at home. Basic OpenCore multiboot instructions
Image
Yesterday I've successfully installed Big Sur on my first hack with OpenCore. All went rather smooth except a few hiccups. The guide is written in a great detail. Now I'd like to add Windows 10 and Ubuntu (neither is yet installed my drives). I'm a little confused, do I just need to follow this part of the guide on moving Bootstrap.efi to the mobo , then install both Windows and Linux from their ISOs the standard way and OpenCore will automatically recognize them? Or do I need to install an additional bootloader, GRUB, Bootcamp, whatever? The guide doesn't seem to mention the big picture of the solution. How to apply OpenCore n-d-k Fork
Image
Hi, I want to use dualboot with existing Windows partition and macOS (10.15.7). With Clover i could without any problem. So now i tried OpenCore, because it has some advantages over Clover. But now after booting to Windows 10 I’m getting “ACPI_BIOS_ERROR” due to ACPI patching by OC to all Operating Systems. And in one of thread in this subreddit i found link to n-d-k fork to OpenCore (as far as I understand after getting it i can choose if the ACPI injection should be to all OS or only macOS), but i don’t know how to use it. Anyone could help me? Or is there another solution? Btw, as i mentioned i have existing Windows, so BootCamp is not the option for me. submitted by /u/Linkushi [link] [comments] [► Source]
Windows 10 Bootcamp

Mac with Bootcamp VS Windows PC with Hackintosh
Image
Hi, I'm going to buy a new PC in about a year and so I started thinking of what I need and what would fit best my needs... Now I have a windows PC that I use both for graphic, coding and gaming (this makes me need windows on my new PC). I also have an iPad Pro and I actually fell in love with the Apple ecosystem so that this, with the fact that iOS apps can be built only with a Mac, made me want MacOS too. So, as the title says, what would you suggest me? Should I buy a Windows PC and install on it Hackintosh too or should I buy a Mac and use bootcamp to install also Windows? submitted by /u/Elodran [link] [comments] [► Source]

Pro Display XDR on a Hackintosh?
Image
I purchased this 6k thing but there hasn't been much information about how to get it going on a hackintosh. This thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/ecxle6/pro_display_xdr_hackintosh/ talks about it but there hasn't been any updates. Anyone here successfully (perhaps using some TB3 hack or Titan Ridge Card or the TB3 support on the latest Z490 motherboards) hooked up Apple's PDXDR with 6k 60fps? I also spent some time googling around how you can use Windows + BootCamp drivers to get it working with full 6K using a Titan Ridge TB3 card on Windows 10. BCM94360CD not working on Windows 10, working in macOS
Image
Hi. Recently I've added a Wifi card BCM94360 acquired in Fenvi aliexpress store plugged in M.2 Key A+E in in motherboard Asrock Z490 ITX/ac. It isn't CNVI locked so perfectly fit it. After boot up macOS Catalina 10.5.6, wifi and bluetooth was recognized and i can connect to my wifi and bluetooth devices, without any kext, as was expected. Handoff, Continuity is perfectly working. Then in Windows 10 (last version updated from Windows Updated) I have not been able to make it work. Windows recognize it and I could install the drivers. I've tried this 2 drivers pack: Apple Bootcamp 6 drivers. Fenvi T919 drivers This is a screenshot of Wifi Device manager with Fenvi T919 drivers installed Device manager But as you can see Windows says that "There are wifi networks available" but it don't show any of them. Curiously after some time, windows shows a list, but i cannot connect to any network and after a few seconds, list is empty again. Not showing ...
