So last weekend, I took the plunge and upgraded my Retina 15" late 2013 Big Sur partition to Sequoia and left my Boot Camp untouched. Now I'm considering swapping out the Boot Camp partition for Big Sur because I'd like to continue to use Metal dependent apps like Final Cut on this machine (and I don't need Windows on here anymore).
I think I could accomplish this by:
- Use Boot Camp assistant to remove the windows partition.
- Use Disk Utility to create a new APFS partition.
- Use OLCP to make a Big Sur installer and install on the new partition
Does this seem viable?
Any weird gotcha's to look out for?
Thanks!
