| Here is a quick smoothness test of my 2019 16” (26.2) vs my 2012 15” retina(15.7.4). 2019 spec: i9 2.3ghz, 32 gb, intel uhd 630/Radeon pro 5500m 8gb 2012 spec: i7 2.7ghz, 16gb, intel hd 4000/gt 650m 1gb I STRONGLY don‘t recommend using Tahoe. I have TaJoe on a separate partition to test and Sequoia as my main. Not only does Tahoe look like a slideshow it also gets WAY hotter, battery sucks more than before, and it’s full of annoying bugs! Things like launchpad, Notification Center, sub menus, and the control center even load faster on my 2012 on Sequoia compared to Tahoe on my 2019. ”Last release for intel” and this OS is a literal joke. Feels like not a single thought has gone into making it a good release to leave intel off on. I swear it’s deliberately horrible to force people to upgrade their Mac. Apple should’ve left intel on Sequoia because this feels like the 4s on iOS 9 all over again. [link] [comments] |
