Late 2013 15" Macbook Pro - upgrade OSX and app compatibility?

I have a late 2013 15" Macbook Pro with:
2.6 GHz Quad-Core i7
16 GB Ram
Intel Iris Pro + Geforce GT 750M gpu.

Currently running High Sierra but getting sick of all the "out of date" app notifications from everything like Chrome / Spotify etc etc since they have all dropped High Sierra support. I'd like to at least keep my browser up to date.

I see a lot of posts saying Sequoia should run alright on this machine, but i rarely see posts about using actual productivity apps. I use apps like Ableton Live 12 and Adobe Photoshop 2024, and for my needs, they run mostly fine on an obviously very old machine.

My question is would I run into any weird issues if i stay on those versions while jumping to Sequoia? Or should I just upgrade to Ventura which *seems* like the most stable/seamless minor upgrade. I don't mind that Ventura is super old either and at least i'll be able to update some apps like Chrome, etc.
