MBP 10,1 graphics acceleration not working

I have a 2012 MPB 10,1 that I installed opencore on a while back running Sonoma 14.7.4. Recently I tried to revive the computer as it had been sitting in storage, and had to replace the battery as it was causing it not to boot. After replacment, I went ahead and did the PRAM and SMC reset, but it seems graphics acceleration has stopped working. My wallpaper is now a black screen, and whenever I minimize a window, the CPU usage jumps and it sometimes crashes back to lock screen. I attempted to update opencore, but when I run the root patching, I get an error saying I have a pending update, which I don't see.
