Sequoia is not working after attempting to transfer data to the new SSD using Time Machine.

Hello everyone, I have a question:

I started a thread here two weeks ago asking for help upgrading an old PC. Someone responded. He offered to cover the cost of the parts, which I thought was very kind.

He offered to upgrade my computer to Sequoia for the cost of the hard drive, the adhesive strip, and shipping.

Since I wanted to upgrade my 2015 iMac and have a different operating system than Monterey Jack, I sent it in, and they installed an SSD.

Then he cleaned it, and I got it back yesterday.

Then I followed his instructions.

I tried to restore the backup from my hard drive, following his instructions. That's when the trouble started.

I then wrote the song with the person who modified it, and tried it using their instructions in Disk Utility… But nothing worked.

Then I got the following response:

How are you supposed to know something like that beforehand? It's always worked perfectly before…

So, let's take a look. Turn it off again using the power button. Hold down Alt + Command + R and boot into Internet Recovery. Open Disk Utility, select the SSD in the sidebar, and run First Aid.

Then boot into Internet Recovery again, open Disk Utility, erase the SSD, install macOS Monterey, and then restore your backup again.

Then I asked him what she would get out of it, and he just wrote that he was now shutting up, only doing it for free, and so on. Now I have a computer that's actually old, with a new hard drive that I can't use; I can't even start the computer anymore, nothing works at all.
