Why do I have to keep root patching?

I‘m on a 2012 MBP running Ventura thanks to OCLP. Everything is updated to the latest, and yes it’s an SSD.

I notice that if I restart my laptop for some reason, often I have to root patch again. The OS does that thing that looks like I opened it in safe mode - weird outlines on the menu bar, different color finder windows, and slow slow slow. I have to run Open Core and root patch again, restart, and then it‘s back to normal.

This is happening more and more. I suppose I could just never restart again, but come on.

Why is this happening?
