I recently received a 2012 27” iMac that someone had installed Sonoma on using OCLP. I could not get through the password that the original user put on so I decided to reinstall official macOS. As far as I can tell, it should have been fine for me to just wipe the drive and use internet recovery to install Catalina.
However, I don’t seem to be able to get any OS to install onto this computer. I have tried High Sierra and Catalina and both get to the second part of the install (Apple logo with “Installing: X minutes remaining”) before stopping with this message
I have tried resetting SMC and PRAM but I don’t really know what else to do from here
Any help would be much appreciated
