Question for the experts. What version of macOS would be best to install and actually be able to use on a mid-2010 white unibody MacBook (2.4GHz core 2 duo, 8GB ram) using the patcher?

I tried to install sequoia on a mid-2014 Mac mini about a year ago and it was a brutal experience. The machine just couldn’t handle it, and it was incredibly slow. So looking for advice on what to do with an older machine.
