 | Hi, I have a late 2012 mac mini running opencore sonoma, however I have no wifi on it or gpu acceleration due to the root patch having errors of update pending and I had reverrted rootpatch after meaning I cant simply get wifi or gpu acceleration back sue to the error, I have no ethernet so thats not an option, my question is, I have Icloud on it but I cant take it off nor do I know the password as my brother has it and hes away, so If I somehow reset it will it ask for apple id? and also I dont have efi firmware pass aswell, gemini told me that going to internet recovery will give u the wifi regardless or not having the rootpatch installed so will it? And if so then how do I wipe the drive? And what do I format or erase it to? And uh do I need a usb to install catalina and whats the process with that? Sorry im not really used to using macs therefore I dont really know what im doing if anyone knows please answer, thanks [link] [comments] |

Installing macOS Tahoe on unsupported hardware is NOT supported by the OpenCore Legacy Patcher developers. Please be aware that numerous users have attempted installation, often resulting in serious issues including hardware malfunctions and complete data loss.
Also understand that OCLP supports over 83 Mac models! Just because it "worked" on one, does not mean it will not cause major issues on your device.
NOTE: You might have seen a new piece of software called OCLP-Mod. The OCLP developers do NOT recommend using any modification of the genuine OCLP software. Keep in mind, anyone is able to make a fork of OCLP (a fork is a modification of the original project). No other software is checked and verified safe or actually working on all 83 Mac models.
In closing, please only use the genuine version of OCLP. Do not install Tahoe until a fully compatible public version of OCLP is released. Thanks!
