Hackintosh Forum: How to Update Your Build Signature

How to Update Your Build Signature on the Forum

Having an accurate and up-to-date hardware signature is crucial when asking for help in Hackintosh communities. It allows developers and experienced users to instantly understand your hardware configuration without needing to ask basic questions like "What CPU do you have?" or "Are you using OpenCore?"

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log into your Account: Ensure you are logged into your iATKOS/Forum account. If you are using the new integrated commenting system, click the "Change" or "Logout" button to verify your active identity.
  2. Navigate to User Settings: Click on your username or avatar in the top right corner of the navigation bar to access the User Control Panel (UCP).
  3. Access the Signature Editor: Look for the Profile or Account Details tab, and select Edit Signature.
  4. Format your Hardware Specs: Use a clean, readable format. A good Hackintosh signature should include the following details:
CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K (Comet Lake)
    Motherboard: Gigabyte Z490 AORUS ELITE
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT 8GB
    RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz
Storage: 1TB WD Black SN850X NVMe
    Bootloader: OpenCore 1.0.1
    macOS: macOS Sonoma 14.5
  5. Save Changes: Click the "Save" or "Update" button. Your new signature will now retroactively appear under all your past and future forum posts.

Why is my Signature not saving?

If you encounter an error when saving, verify that you haven't exceeded the character limit or used restricted HTML tags. Most forums allow basic BBCode (like [b]bold[/b] or [color=blue]color[/color]) but disable complex formatting or large images to keep the comment sections clean and readable.

Original Question: "I cannot change my build signature,"

I cannot change my build signature, I cannot create a new build signature, it wont save, I suspect because I running a old OS or chrome or both
