I have a 2015 MBP 2.5Ghz 4core i7 model with intel iris graphics(1.5gb of vram), 16gb RAM 500gb storage, and a self-replaced battery with only ~230 cycles on it.
However, its running MacOS Monterey, and though it works flawlessly with applications like Photoshop, documents, video, games once in a blue moon(minecraft). I want to be on a newer more modern and secure version. I am a student though and want to know how badly an upgrade to Sequoia would affect battery life, I use AlDente and Turbo Boost already to help with battery, but can anyone tell me (after indexing) if its worth it? I would be able to test it myself this summer but also want to know if there is any advice to someone seeking the best battery life under an OCLP install.
I am also wondering if the mid-2015 13 inch models that can work extremely well with good battery life as well, as the 15" is a bit clunky and it would be nice to have a smaller less powerful school workhorse.
