I’ve installed these two OS’s on my 2011 21.5” iMac with 16gb RAM and an SSD. I’ve used OCLP to install and patch up the OS in both instances. Monterey seems to run better, so I’ll likely stick with that.
The problem I’ve had with both is with some of Apples software. For instance, Maps detects my location but doesn’t display any map.
My main issue is with Photos though. When I open a photo, it displays for a second and then vanishes to black. The app remains active and I can move to the next photo with the arrow keys, but the same thing happens, the photo just vanishes. Video does however play fine. All these are photos from my iCloud, taken with an iPhone, which has finished syncing.
Everything else seems ok. Should I be looking at anything in particular?
