Thank you to those who commented and offered help on how to troubleshoot. I state it is unresolved because I have not had the courage to re-attempt since I wasted two days on the first go around. I will be using your feedback as guidance.
Now that I am ready to try again, I need to decide whether I should go with Sonoma or Ventura. Thank you all in advance.
One more thing, now that Apple no longer offers support for Ventura it will be a matter of time until it will become incompatible with a number of apps and related requirements. Which is why I would risk even risk going as high as Sonoma.
