Troubleshooting Replacing iMac17,1’s built in BlueTooth with a Dongle. Successful Strategies?

Resolving system configuration issues, installation errors, and post-update problems under macOS patched with OpenCore.

Resolution steps:

  1. Update Bootloader: Ensure you are using the latest version of OpenCore or OCLP.
  2. Reset NVRAM: Reboot your Mac, and select Reset NVRAM in the boot menu.
  3. Check Kexts: Update all helper kexts (Lilu, VirtualSMC) in your EFI partition.

Trying to use a TP-Link USB Bluetooth Adapter (UB400) instead of the built in Broadcom chip which seems to be acting up even before my OCLP experiments. Any body have any tips or working strategies?
