macOS Tahoe Wi-Fi Workaround: Using iPhone Hotspot

Getting Online in the Experimental Tahoe Era

If you've successfully installed macOS Tahoe but your internal Wi-Fi card isn't recognized, using your iPhone via USB Tethering is the best way to stay connected.

How to Set It Up:

  1. Connect via USB: Plug your iPhone into your Mac using a Lightning or USB-C cable.
  2. Trust the Device: Tap 'Trust' on your iPhone and enter your passcode.
  3. Personal Hotspot: On your iPhone, go to Settings > Personal Hotspot and turn on 'Allow Others to Join'.
  4. Network Settings: On your Mac, go to System Settings > Network. Your iPhone should appear as a 'USB 10/100/1000 LAN' or 'iPhone USB' device. Click connect.

Note: This is a great temporary solution while the OCLP developers work on the legacy Broadcom drivers for Tahoe.
