Navigating the Tahoe Beta on Ivy Bridge Hardware
Installing macOS Tahoe Beta on a 2012 MacBook Pro is a 'developer-only' task. Here is what you must do.
The Checklist:
- Full Backup: This is not optional. Tahoe Beta will crash.
- OCLP Nightly: Download the latest development build from the Dortania GitHub action tab. Stable OCLP 2.4.1 does not support Tahoe Beta correctly.
- Graphics Warning: The Intel HD 4000 graphics are currently unaccelerated in Tahoe. The UI will be very slow until the community finishes the root patches.
- FileVault: Ensure FileVault is OFF before starting the installation.
