Resolving T2 Chip Issues and Installing macOS Tahoe on MacBook Pro 2018
Installing macOS Tahoe on T2-secured Macs like the 2018 MacBook Pro can result in kernel panics or grey screens if the security settings are not configured properly.
Resolution Guide:
- Disable T2 Secure Boot: Restart your Mac and hold
Cmd + R. Go to Utilities → Startup Security Utility. Set Secure Boot to No Security and Allowed Boot Media to Allow booting from external media. - Avoid OCLP-Mod: Stick to the official OCLP builds. Forked versions can trigger unhandled kernel panics on T2 hardware.
- Reset NVRAM: Perform a thorough NVRAM reset (Option+Cmd+P+R) before booting the macOS Tahoe installer.
- Root Patching: If you get a grey screen with a movable cursor, this indicates graphics driver issues. Boot into Safe Mode and run OpenCore Legacy Patcher to apply root patches.

Installing macOS Tahoe using hackintosh on my Macbook Pro 15 inches intel i9 2018
So I wanna install macos tahoe on my Macbook Pro 15 inches intel i9 2018 but it doesn't officially support it, I've tried OCLP and other OCLP builds like nightly but they either don't support my macbook because of the T2 chip and if that OCLP version supported my model, it always made kernel panics or resulting in a grey screen where I can move my mouse but nothing else. I'd decided it's not possible to install Tahoe, then I thought mabye I can convert my logic board into a pc motherboard where there I can remove the BIOS and then I can install windows and THEN I can use hackintosh and OCLP simplify to install Tahoe but I really have no idea how to do this, any suggestions? #hackintosh #oclp
