Hi all,
I have been trying to update my Nana's Macbook Pro mid 2012 13" laptop from Catalina to Sequioa with Open Core due to certain apps like chrome and video players not working anymore.
We don't have the money for a new one at this time, and the laptop is my Nana's only current entertainments and connection with the world, due to her badly breaking her leg a month ago. So any help would be amazing!
So I used the latest OCL, gave permissions for disk access etc, and it was slow going but okay up until the final step of installing the software onto the disk.
Then this message popped up about the disk being unabled to be unlocked - I've attached a photo.
Im not a particularly tech savy person, so dont want to go around trying to wrong thing.
Now when the laptop finally starts the Sequioa trees are there but its constantly freezing and needing a reboot. will only work with the USB still plugged in.
I know I'm so close to finishing this update but not sure what the fix is.
Let me know if any more info is needed,
