Fixing Distorted or Pixeleated Graphics in macOS
After upgrading macOS or running minor updates, your patched Mac may show a pixeleated interface or lack graphics acceleration because OCLP root patches were disabled.
Resolution steps:
- Reinstall OCLP Root Patches: Open the latest OpenCore Legacy Patcher application and select Post-Install Root Patch. Click Start Root Patching.
- Disable SIP & AMFI: Ensure
csrutil disableis applied in Recovery Mode if OCLP fails to install the graphics drivers. - Clean Install: If graphics glitches persist, boot from your OCLP USB, erase the System volume, and reinstall the OS without losing user data.
Original Question: "Updated from 14.1.1 to 14.8.5 and now everything is pixely and not rendered correctly"
| It happens with SVGs in every app that uses chromium, like Google Chrome, Discord, etc and no switching to a different browser is not viable because there are a bunch of applications that use electron for example and they have the same issue. Look at the heart before and after, it is very noticable in every icon and emoji rendering and it's awful :( [link] [comments] |
