Hi, I have a pair (2010/2012) of 5,1 mac pros and a 2012 15" non retina, mid 2012 Macbook Pro (the "Stealth" one with nvda gpu, max ram and ssd) all seamlessly running Ventura via OCLP. I use them all for trading, with the 2012 everyday as my main computer, and will soon need to upgrade because Schwab TOS is beginning to nag me for an update. My main concern is stability and speed and am wondering if I should upgrade to Sonaoma first, or go straight to Sequoia. I don't use any AVX dependent software and will have both of the 5,1's using the Radeon 580 8gb gpus, and also will be installing identical pci cards in lane 2 with a 1 tb nvme drive as boot before attempting the upgrade. Latest firmware and enable GOP on both and lots of misc sata drives, SSD and spinning, to swap between them. Both machines have dual cpu with 128 gb ram on main one and 24-48 gb on backup. Along with upgrade route advice, I would love any input/caveats/warnings before moving ahead,,, At the moment i am rock solid, fast, and compatible with over 100 tabs running in Chrome within ten windows including 40 continuously updating TradingView charts, youtube streaming, with my main, 1 of 3 monitors devoted to the my trading platform TOS, updating continuously without any lag or hiccups,,, would very much like to maintain this performance in Sequoia,,, am I dreaming?
