Resolving Installation Loops on the 12-inch MacBook
The 2015 MacBook (Retina, 12-inch) is prone to installation errors during the Sequoia update due to its unique power-efficient architecture.
The Solution:
- Ignore the Loop: If it says '29 minutes remaining' and reboots, that's actually normal for the first 2-3 cycles. Let it run.
- Internet Error: The 'error occurred during software update' message usually means the installer can't verify the 'BridgeOS' or firmware. Disconnect from Wi-Fi during the installation phase to bypass this check.
- NVRAM Reset: If it truly gets stuck, reset the NVRAM (Cmd+Opt+P+R) and boot back into the OCLP USB to 'Repair' the installation.
