Restoring Bootability after a Failed Tahoe Install
If your Mac won't boot into the Tahoe installer or your old Sequoia install after using OCLP-Plus, your EFI partition or NVRAM is likely corrupted with conflicting boot entries.
The Recovery Steps:
- Deep NVRAM Reset: Hold Cmd+Opt+P+R for at least 3-4 startup chimes. This is essential to clear the OCLP-Plus variables.
- Original OCLP USB: Do not use the OCLP-Plus USB. Create a fresh USB installer using the standard OCLP 2.4.1 and a stable OS like Monterey or Sequoia.
- Boot Picker: Hold Option during boot. If you don't see the EFI Boot icon, your EFI partition is damaged. Boot from the USB and use Disk Utility to 'First Aid' your internal drive.
Original Question: "So I tried to use oclp plus and it turned my MacBook into a paperweight"
I tried to install tahoe but it simply didn’t work, I was on seqouia, that I installed using normal oclp, and now it isn’t booting into the installer for tahow or my existing sequoia install
