Resolving Freezes when Connecting to Wi-Fi
The BCM4360CD card is a staple of the Hackintosh and OCLP community, but in macOS Tahoe, the driver handoff after sleep/shutdown is causing a Kernel Panic.
The Fixes:
- Disable 'Wake for Network Access': In System Settings > Battery (or Energy Saver), turn off 'Wake for network access'. This prevents the OS from trying to re-initialize the Wi-Fi card before the kernel is ready.
- RP Core Update: Ensure you are using RP Core 1.0.2 or newer. Versions 1.0.1 had a known conflict with the Tahoe networking stack.
- Manual Connection: Instead of clicking 'Connect' immediately, wait 30 seconds after wake for the system to fully stabilize before attempting to join a network.

Everything works including:
However, I now have a major issue: ProblemAfter shutdown or sleep:
This never happened on Sequoia. I already tried several common fixes from previous Hackintosh experiences, but nothing worked. HardwareCPU

QuestionHas anyone experienced Wi-Fi kernel panic/freezing on Tahoe after sleep/shutdown with BCM4360CD or RP Core? Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |
