So the 6700k is a 4.0ghz CPU with 4.2Ghz turbo mode. I know it's ridiculous to fuss over 200 mhz but damnit, I want to know why this isn't working!
Things I've tried:
- Piker Alpha's SSDTgen w/plugintype ON
- Piker Alpha's SSDTgen w/plugintype OFF
- No SSDT.aml
- Speed Step on
- Speed Step off
- Motherboard 'System Power Management' on
- Motherboard 'System Power Management' off
So far running with SpeedStep ON, System Power Management ON, No SSDT, and PluginType ON results in the widest array of states and a low power state of 800mhz. I.E. It's the best I've gotten so far.
However none of these get me to a 4.2ghz turbo in Intel Power Gadget.
Anything else I could be missing?
