iBoot + MultiBeast: Another way to install iATKOS L2
Image
Any OSx86 installation guide can seem daunting at first glance, especially when trying to remember cryptic terminal commands and sorting through volumes of misinformation on the web.  This guide requires no coding, terminal work, or Mac experience of any kind.  You will not need access to a Mac.  In fact, it's easier and faster for me to install Snow Leopard with fully working components on my system than it is to install Windows 7.  And more fun. The iBoot + MultiBeast method is designed and tested for any desktop or laptop running the latest line of Intel processors, the Core i3/i5/i7s.  I have had reports of success with older machines as well including CoreDuo, Core2Duo, and even Pentium 4.  However, AMD processors are not supported. YOU WILL NEED A computer running an Intel Processor A blank CD A iATKOS L1, L2 / S3 / Retail DVD To leave any fear of your computer at the door. Patience and humility- it may not work out perfectly the ...

iATKOS L2 [ Installation Guide ]
Image
Change Log from L1 to L2: - 10.7.2 main system > Finally, Lion main system is completely OK for this release, though we are running it on real Macs. We discovered that previous release L1 and most retail installations starting from 10.7.0 have problems, especially for sandybridge hardware, tested on real Macs.. Upgrade installations from Snow Leopard are OK but they work slower than usual. :arrow:I recommend iATKOS L2 release or retail installs using only the full 10.7.2 retail package. - Bootloaders updated > Chameleon 2.1 svn r1650, Chimera 1.6 - DVD boot > updated to Chameleon 2.1 svn r1650, patched IOPCIFamily driver added, Non-AHCI ICHX SATA/IDE driver added, AHCI SATA driver updated, npci=0x2000 flag added - Updated drivers, packages > /Extra/Extensions option removed AHCI SATA driver updated Intel Non-AHCI ICHX SATA/IDE driver added SSD Trim support added USB 3.0 driver updated PS/2 driver updated and laptop keyboard problem solved Laptop Battery driver added GF100 ...

How to install iATKOS L2 10.7.2 on HP 8440p

Edit: updated to include MultiBeast piece I had left out and to add info on battery icon kexts. Please use the latest kexts file called HP 8440p kexts under the Downloads - Miscellaneous section. This newer file has the same kexts as the first one I posted and also the battery kexts. The core process steps boil down to the following phases: Items needed, software to download on windows 7 PC - a USB keyboard and a USB mouse, standard PC models, as the kb/trackpad do not work OOB but require a kext - two USB sticks, one for a faster way to install OSX, the other for the transfer of kexts - Download iATKOS L2 via torrent - Download TRANSMAC to W7 PC - Download dmg2img to convert dmg file to iso file - Registration on this site to download the latest kext zip file I posted in the Downloads / Misc folder - Registration with tonymacx86 so you can download Multibeast Preparation of OSX DVD and USB stick with OSX image on windows 7 PC - Convert the iATKOS L2 DMG file to an iso file with dmg2i...

iATKOS L2 - ALC1200 [ SOLUTION ]
Image
Howto install : - choose and download kexts pack for ALC1200 - remove VoodooHDA ALCinjector.kext AppleHDA.kext (don't remove this if you're installing legacy version) ALC1200fix.kext and any audio kext you could have installed in /Extra or in /System/Library/Extensions - unpack the zip file - run kexthelper - install kexts - reboot Obviously backup kexts you need. ====Q/A==== Q: What happens when I commit an update, for example from 10.6.1 to 10.6.2? A: You must  reinstall  those hacked kexts, because the update overwrite the vanilla hacked applehda kexts. Should even happens that the update doesn't overwrite the old applehda kext driver, so in this case, you don't need to reinstall. Q: I'm experiencing pop sound, how can I solve this? A: Try setting your hack as MacPro3,1 in /Extra/smbios.plist =========== ==================== SNOW LEOPARD and LION ========================== **First method** :  with DSDT Injection, patched AppleHDA, and NO HDAenabler attached.  ...
