Hey, I want to install Snow Leopard on my Samsung n220 Plus (here are the specs Netbook N220 - TECH SPECS | SAMSUNG ) Since i want to have the Mac App Store i wan to run 10.6.5 but i would prefer runing 10.6.8. I tried iAktos S v2 but it was very unstable. Can anyone give me some advises how i should start , maybe trying with iAktos or another Distro , or maybe better a with the retail DVD? Hey, I am running a Hackintosh at 10.6.8, i wanted to upgrade to 10.7 lion, without losing my files. But whenever i open the installer it tells me it needs atlease a core 2 duo, i3, i5 or i7. I am absolutely sure i have an i3 inside my pc, But in "about this mac" it shows me that i have an 2.93ghz dual-core intel xeon, it also shows wrong ram speed. The problem is that the installer won't run. How can i make Mac OS X Realise that i AM running with an i3 and not with an dual-core intel xeon to make the installer work? Greetz, Dominique source

Hi guys I just installed Snow on an asus m2n68-am se2, following a Fernando Nunes' guide, now (after some issues) I have a 10.6.8 SL working just fine, I have 2 basic things to fix. First, when I installed used the Nawcom's mod cd, if I boot with it on desktop appears this disk mounted, but if boot with chameleons bootloader I got a message like this: SAM Multimedia: read or write failed. On desktop I can't mount the cd and even could see a message "the system can't read the cd", but only if I not booted with the mod cd. Second, I'm using a Zotac Nvidia 8400 GS 512mb, it works like this: GraphicsEnabler= Yes (only works after 10.6.8 update and I get a 1600x1200x32). But only basic resolution, I mean no transparent menu bar, graphics files not working with the preview program... I tried NVEnabler, NVinject with no lucky, its working only with the EFI strings inside the org.cameleon.Boot.plist but no difference, this is the boot.plist contents <?xml versi...

Hi, well let me tell you what happens.. I´ve been looking everywhere a method to enable the WIFI in my netbook. I´ve seen that people install some kexts to try to enable it (but I don´t know how can I do that) as seen in one post here a guy could make it work by adding this "IONetworkingFamily.kext and VoodooBattery", I looked how to do it, downloaded them and then moved to iPortable/extras/ (that´s were I´ve seen more kexts, but they were alredy there). It has some other problems that you may know which are the sound card doesn´t work, and also 800x600 display default.. I´ve used the iPortable Snow x86 in an 8gb pendrive to load the system.. And my question is could it be something done to solve these problems? I don´t know so much of the system so please make it easy for me to understand (also english isn´t my native language more difficulty added jeje) Regards source

Hi there, I have been trying to run my hackintosh without my iBoot disc, but no success. I followed the instructions and installed Multibeast successfully. (Easy without and with user DSDT file; which I tried to correct). However, the startup hangs when not starting from the iBoot disc with the message: "Still waiting for root device" . (this doesn't happen when booting from iBoot disc). How can I make it boot from the HDD without iBoot? Can anyone please assist? Hi everyone, I'm struggling to get my retail copy of SL to boot from the installer DVD. Any advice is much appreciated! I should note: I created an image of it and restored it to an 8gb usb stick via Disk Utility with a 128mb partition containing Chameleon 2.1r2069. This is because I have no optical drive for the machine I am installing to. Chameleon runs fine (of course) so I select the SL install partition and run with -v to see where it is stopping. It loads the legacy kernel (which was recommended in prior reading) but then stalls without further messages. My hardware: GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 4x4GB Corsair Vengance 1600 RAM AMD Radeon 6670 Core i7 2700K 650W PSU The only thing left that I can think of is fiddle with things in org.chameleon.Boot.plist. Please help! Has anyone with this hardware setup done this before? Do I need to: a) Keep persisting with a USB stick install, or b) Pull out the SATA drive I want to install to, mount it in a caddy and install SL from my old macbook laptop...
