I’d first like to say hello...I’ve been running Hackintoshes for a couple of years and it’s been a pretty fun hobby. I don’t rely on them for work...just like to have a fast desktop Mac to go along with my real MacBook.
The current hack i’m running is-
- Motherboard-Intel DZ87KLT-75K
- Processor-i7 4770k
- dGPU-Sapphire Pulse RX570 ITX
- Broadcom desktop card for bluetooth/wifi (works OOB)
- Mojave 10.14.2
SMBIOS iMac 15,1 (was running 14,2 before I started troubleshooting a few days ago)
Lilu and Whatevergreen are up to date and configured properly and are the only graphics kexts I’m using
Headless ig-platform-id 0412000B is currently being used (i also tried 04120004)
With the above setup...everything works great including quicklook and the HD4600 seems to be operating as a proper headless GPU except...I can’t play iTunes movies/tv shows i’ve purchased nor can I play Netflix in Safari. Neither of these is a deal-breaker...they may have been like this for a while and I didn’t notice but, over the holidays, I wanted to watch some Top Gear I had purchased a long time ago in iTunes and couldn’t.
Anyone have any ideas/suggestions for getting the HD4600 to cooperate with the DRM? I was able to do the work-around discussed in a tonymacx86 thread about using the AMD card standalone and using NoVPAJpeg to fix quicklook...that worked but I would rather leave the Intel iGPU enabled for a closer-to-real-Mac hack.
Thanks in advance!
