Hi, I've been making my hackintoshes for a long time; if my memory serves me correctly, I started with Snow Leopard. I never had any issues with it, always using the Dortania guide, until the day I updated my Monterrey to Ventura. It was working perfectly until after a few hours, when it started to freeze and reboot on its own, then I got an error saying that it crashed with a bunch of codes. I read, and watched many Forums and YouTube, I revised the EFI numerous times without getting any good results. Are there any of you here with a similar configuration that you've used with Ventura or Sonoma that resulted positively? I use a lot of M.2 SSDs, mostly for writing data, I've lost some important data to corruption after SSDs' health/life went below 60%. So need a MacOS device to periodically check M.2 health. Real Macs (macbooks/mac minis) don't have M.2 slots. As per title, looking for a smallest form factor (hackintoshable) device that has M.2 socket, so I can plug in M.2 NVMe drives to check their health status/TB written using telemetry apps like Sensei. Ideally Intel 10th gen(for better OC compatibility), with working internal WiFi - without the need to use external WiFi cards that need to use M.2 slot - this would defeat the purpose of the device. Currently running 2 ITX Z490-based hacks. Gigabyte Z490I-Aorus/AsRock Z490M-ITXac. Too big, not portable. Other devices are real Intel/M1/M2 Macs. Does anyone else get this? I have a dual graphics 2015 MacBook Pro with the M370X. Sometimes when something moves, the menu bar parts that moved will turn red, but I know it's not GPU corruption because if I switch to a different desktop and back it goes away. Sometimes parts of webpages do this on loading, but again go away on completion or scrolling. I just hackintoshed my Zephyrus g14 2022RJ (Ryzen 7 6800HS CPU, 6700S GPU) for the second time and am running MacOS Sonoma. I used the EFI from the recommended GitHub ( https://github.com/b00t0x/ROG-Zephyrus-G14-GA402-Hackintosh ) and am still booting from using OC on USB. Everything works perfectly fine except for the fact that my primary monitor is always stuck on a macOS loading screen, so I can only use macOS with a second monitor connected through hdmi. My primary monitor worked the last time I hackintoshed it, so I’m assuming it has to do with some EFI change. I am running OCLP on my 2017 iMac with Sonoma. Runs ok, but I want to revert back to Ventura. I've Googled how to remove OCLP, but... the instructions I see are to mount the EFI partition and delete the EFI and System folders. But when I mount EFI, it is blank, no folders. I am using OCLP version 1.3.0 to install Sonoma 14.3.1 on a Macbook pro 13 early 2015 running Monterey 12.6.7. The problem I am facing is that after selecting boot from EFI option and then the install Sonoma option, an odd looking progress bar without no apple logo appears and it always never moves pass 1/5. The computer itself is fine and usable since installer won't even load. Hi, I have an old Clover install with Mojave on one drive, and would like to install OC with a newer MacOS on it on another drive. I'd like to be able to boot from either drive preferably with a menu. If I install OC using the guide, will it give me the option to boot from the Clover drive, or would I have to do something else? I have used the OpenLegacyCorePatcher to install Sonoma on a new SSD, while the old 10.13 user accounts reside on a separate HDD (MacPro 5.1, Mid 2012, not modified). 20 GB RAM, 500GB SSD, 1TB HDD. Everything went really smooth, but ... ... I selected to import my old user profile during setup. It imported Apps and Folders fine, but not the profile. When I now start the Migration Assistant under Sonoma, it asks me for an Admin account password; starts MA, shows MA's first window, lets me select "continue"; Screen changes from my account to a new screen (dice roller effect), MA window shows correctly the HDD, "looking for other sources" is spooling; ! during this, suddenly, the screen switched back to the log-in screen, no change back possible, there is a "Startup User" shown as well, but not able to log-in there; if I log in with the admin account, the MA window is shown again, but freezed. So after installing Ventura and updating to Sonoma. I have Wifi, Bluetooth, Trackapad,and somehow Graphics working just fine. The about screen shows I have Iris Plus 3072mb but I still have the dock not being transparent, so I assume graphics acceleration is not working properly. I do understand that by changing the device id number I can have luck and find full graphic acceleration. But that's the part I don't understand. Wich is the device id? This one? Hello all. I have installed OSX10.14 onto a 1TB HDD. My system now refuses to boot into macOS, only windows. I removed my windows drive and now it refuses to boot, period. Some info - I have a core i5 8500, AMD Radeon RX570, an H310D motherboard, and only one HDD connected. Install was smooth and successful, using an offline installer as I do not have ethernet. On first install i was booted back into Windows but i rebooted and selected macOS and it finished installing, only to not boot At one point i got it to throw an error at me, and i regret not writing it down. i will let you know if i get it again. There are slight stutters on mouse scrolling and I was wondering if it's just Intel Iris 655 not up for the task in Ventura, or is it my monitor? The machine is NUCi87BEH in a Cirrus7 fanless case, with 32GB of RAM, Intel SATA SSD, Ethernet connected and BCM94360CS2. The monitor is only 1080p, but a 75Hz LG 27MK600M-W It may be hard to see on the video, recording a screen is difficult. I have a triple boot Hackintosh setup with Windows 10, Linux, and macOS High Sierra. One issue with such setup is Windows using local time instead of UTC, causing issues with Linux and macOS's time. I know I can set Windows to use UTC via registry editing, as I've done in the past, but I read that it's really not advised as it could cause lots of problems with programs. Linux can be set to use local time with minimal issues, so I'm wondering, is there a way to do the same with macOS? I know I'd have to modify two OSes instead of one, but it sounds like Windows is a lot more issue-prone, and I would prefer to avoid that. Hi all, I've done a trial boot just to see if it got to the installer, it did. It's in Russian (my dumbass didn't RTFM all the way), I fixed it but didn't Reset NVRAM yet (kinda scared, is it only ThinkPads that get bricked with the reset?). My trackpad is not working in the installer, and I also forgot to copy everything in the patches.plist from SSDTTime to my config.plist, but I am aware that I have to do that. I think I've done most of the stuff that can be done before installing, but I'm not sure. An experienced user on another forum told me my EFI was fine but very "basic" (whatever that means). So I'm not sure if there's anything that I accidentally skipped over or straight up forgot.
