Ok, so i have a Macbook Pro from 2015 that i installed opencore legacy patcher on, so i could get the latest update. Sorry, bit of a long context but I feel it's necessary. I got a 17 inch 2011 MBP with the anti-glare display, fully aware of all its flaws, simply because I like the design, plus it's the only 17 inch with a Quad Core CPU which should allow me to daily drive it for non-graphics related tasks (coming from an 11 inch 2015 Air with 8GB of Ram). Specs in the picture (+ Radeon HD 6750M). Need to get all that out of the way, I already know everything there is to know about this machine including all the negatives, I've wanted one since it came out and spent years hunting for one where I live. The thing is in immaculate condition. No dents or scratches, the battery had like 90 cycles when I got it, the keyboard is still matte meaning it hasn't been typed on too much, it even had the original 750GB hard drive when I got it which leads me to believe I was the first person to be inside it, yesterday when I was installing an SSD (I didn't upgrade the Ram to 16GB yet bu...

I just got this laptop for like 40€ bcs it has Windows on it... so i just reinstalled Catalina and abt there i got my OCLP just fine ! Hi! MacBook Air 7,2 freshly installed Sequoia 15.5 (24F74) under OCLP 2.4.0 The problem: can't install Adobe Acrobat Reader, when it's "less than a minute" it freezes and doesn't finish. I need the sign documents with CAC, so I can't find a free alternative to do it. As far I know MacOs Preview can't sign with smart cards. I have tried to install the previous version. Same problem. As above, i am trying to use opencore to make bootable usb for mac os. Specifically im trying to make a mac el capitan installer for a imac from 2007. I am trying to follow the instructions on the guide, but I am kinda lost. Especially around the part where it says cloning the recovery dmg to the Smaller partition. How would I do this? Hi all, I'm using 2.4.0 OCLP and I created 2 new installers from scratch, one Monterey, and one Ventura. I'm trying to get it onto two Macbook Pro Mid 2012 machines, both with 16gB and 1TB SSD's. I've done this many times before, without any issues, but all of a sudden, when trying to install onto these two specific macs, it always times out. I forgot what the exact error says, but it times out with "17-18 mins" left in the installer and says it failed to install the "update." I've even tried different hard drives, switching them out, to see if maybe it was a hard drive issue. This doesn't seem to be the case. I'm making sure that I'm building and installing the correct opencore, (MBP 9,2) each time. I'm erasing the drives before installing. Nothing seems to be bypassing this error. This is getting a little frustrating, as it typically would take maybe 30-45 mins to do this and now I'm waiting hours and hours only to get this...

Is MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013) with 16 GB RAM better than MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) with 8 GB RAM despite the former's processor not having AVX2 support? Im stuck in recovery mode after using OCLP with a 32gb usb. Every time I try to upgrade, the install fails and I’m back in Recovery. I’ve tried resetting pram, etc. , but it seems the issue is I can’t connect to any WiFi network in Recovery. It says “Your Mac successfully joined the Wi-Fi network, but cannot reach the internet.” It also says the MAC address may be to blame? Typing in my WiFi’s name and password doesn’t work and no networks show up. Would I be able to get WiFi in Recovery mode via an Ethernet cable adapter? Hi, I have an early 2014 13” mba and have just installed macOS sequoia 15.5 successfully. But one problem I had with my Mac beforehand was sometimes when trying to wake it from sleep it just had a black screen, and even if I hold down the power button nothing happens. But sometimes when connecting it to the charger boots it up or closing the lid and coming back a little later. But the thing is I have tried resetting smc, but it didn’t seem to work, so was about to do a pram reset but I am worried it might brick the oclp installation. First boot was fine. Showed the Mac boot picker but after attempting a reinstall on a external disk( internal drive is untouched) , the reinstaller booted back into the internal disk. After forcing it to pick the external installer as the main boot drive , it no longer shows the apple boot picker & just shows the OCLP boot picker How do I get back to the original boot picker?
