I've been trying to get this to work for weeks but cannot get beyond the screen where you select the regional settings. From what I can tell the basic install/download happens after I create the partition (this all works fine), I get 4 reboots to the Apple logo with the progress bar (29 mins remaining, 16 mins remaining etc) and then when the setup begins I get the select language screen and the PC reboots. The PC reboots shortly after loading the screen (<10 seconds). Once I was quick enough to select the language and choose continue, but most times I get half way scrolling down to United Kingdom and the PC reboots. this makes me think it's either a CPU management issue or a graphics issue, but honestly I have no idea. Some hints or things to try would be greatly appreciated. So I am having this annoying issue. I am trying to boot the High Sierra installer on an AMD machine of mine. The verbose text completes, and the Apple logo appears. Nothing. I can move the cursor around, but nothing happens. This is annoying and I want to know how to get past it. Nowhere helped, so my last hope is here. So hello. Quite a noob when it comes to this. I seem to be having issues with sound crackling on my system and I'm not sure how to fix it. It both happens when using my Audio Interface and built-in mobo audio. I'm trying to install big sur on my ThinkPad L13 Yoga and can't get past choosing the installer in OpenCore. I tried everything in the guide. It seems like there is a problem with CFG unlock and the associated options to avoid it. I found a few people having the exact same problem, but no one who could get past it. Is here anyone who got macOS to run on a ThinkPad with a Comet Lake CPU? After downgrading clover to an earlier version I finally managed to get beyond the boot loader, hoping to get into my existing system that I have been using for over a year. I only have FakeSmc in the clover ‘other’ folder and previously booted fine with the other kexts from my L/E folder. I keep getting stuck on the same spot as per screenshot showing the system having issues with the BCRM kext. I have a Hackintosh with a 5700 XT installed. It has been working flawlessly since I built it. However today when I started it up one of the displays is not working. It's just black. The OS recognises that it is there, but there is nothing displayed on the screen. It's also still working in windows, so it's not a cable problem. I have tried all the usual stuff like unplugging it and plugging it back in. I have reseated all the cables, nothing. I am stumped by this, does anyone have any suggestions? I'm preparing my system for an update to Big Sur. I want to make sure that the current Catalina install works with OpenCore 064 prior to engaging in that process. I got OC 060 installed and it works. Put 064 on a usb and when booting the current Catalina install with it I can boot and login but macOS freezes completely after a few seconds. This is reproducable 100% of the time. Updated OC 064 with sanitychecker and all seems ok. Can't find any clear information or troubleshooting in regards to this. Any ideas from the knowledgeable group of people here? Im using Big Sur on a T440p with Opencore, my main display its an external monitor PHILIPS 234CL ( 1920x1080), the laptop display its 1920x1080 too. im using this script (which is super easy and i higly recommend) to use HiDPI on my displays. The issue is i can get HiDPI on the laptop display, but not on the external one. As you can see on the left one (external monitor) i can just change the resolution, on the right one (internal display) i can change the text size. Hi, I have a Gigabyte Z390 AORUS PRO ITX motherboard, and I do have two WD NVMe SSD installed at two M.2 connectors, and the only 16x PCIe is occupied by the GPU. Someone told me I should replace my wifi model with bcm94352z since there’s no place to install one in order to use airdrop and handoff. After a day searching for some info about what I can use I found that most of the people are using or recommending BCM94360CS2 or BCM94360CD. This is a weird scenario where my old motherboard died and I upgraded my system. I know the parts work and have a OC USB stick that should work with my new components after going through vanilla guide, however the only drawback is I cannot boot into Mojave, as support didn't roll around Catalina and up from what I could find. ​ I did not have a time machine backup configured. I've been running Windows and MacOS on two separate drives. Games on Windows everything else on Mac. I decided to switch to OC to facilitate upgrading to Big Sur. The install went fine and I'm currently typing this on my Hackintosh. All iservices are working fine, sound wifi, bluetooth, the works. Windows showed up on OC once, but I didn't go into it because I was still setting everything up. Once I tried adding the GUI, though, windows disappeared. I restored a version of my EFI folder without the changes that I did to get the GUI working, and Windows still didn't show up. Nor is it able to be found in my bios. Disc Utility still says that the drive is there and can see that it has about 300 gb of used storage, but I can't find a way to get into it. ​ If I leave OC open too long before entering the Hackintosh loader it gives an error that says OCB: StartImage Failed - Aborted ​ After the fact, it goes back to the OC boot and I'm able to get into the Ha...

Hey there all! Just about have all my parts ready for my first PC build and wanting to make it a dual boot hackintosh. I am trying to figure what would be a good workflow for storage and such. I am wanting to have separate storage for each OS but I am also wanting a shared drive and a backup drive. (This will be in an iTX case - the IQUNIX ZX-1. So space is limited) Currently I have a Sabrent Rocket 1TB M.2 NVME for macOS. Should I do something similar for Windows 10 (an M.2 NVME)? What would be a good SSD that could act as a shared drive and what format? I also want to do something for a backup drive and another redundant drive, what’s best for that? I had a working Catalina and wanted to update both OC and MacOS to Big Sur and it all went south, started getting kernel panics and weird lines during the verbose log, so I decided to boot again from the original USB with Catalina and the EFI that worked fine for months but I'm getting the same perros nos, kernel panics and errors in verbose log so I'm not sure what to do and I'm thinking about installing the latest version of OC and kexts and Catalina all over again but I'm not sure if would lose all of my info, what do you think? submitted by /u/zolitariuz [link] [comments] [► Source]

Hello, hope you're all doing well. Lately I updated my system from Catalina to Big sur , using OC 0.6.4. I'm rocking an Asus X550VX , I56300HQ. The problem is that the pc boots but it gets stuck for some minutes while booting, I've included my boot log down below. The other thing is that using the latest VoodooPS2 kext , my trackpad works but it has no gestures and it's not found in the prefs. I'm guessing it's detected as a mouse, using other VoodooPS2 kext just doesn't work. My trackpad is a FocalTech trackpad I'm guessing PS2. An extra issue which would be really handy, is the possibility of getting the Atheros 9565 to work on big sur ? Maybe not ? . In all cases I appreciate every bit of help I can get. the card's PCB printing is BCM94350ZAE_3.but what have shown from Hackintool is BCM4356. that is quite confusing to me. This is kinda weird. For a while now I've been noticing that I only get audio from the left channel. I had hoped the switching from Clover to OC would address this, but it hasn't. I've followed the Dortania 'fix audio' guide and looked around elsewhere and so far I haven't found a solution. In the grand scheme of things, I can live with this, but I would really like to fix it if I can. The only thing I haven't tried so far is VoodooHDA, which I have heard mixed things about. I am reasonably sure that my speakers are not the problem. AppleALC looks ok, I show outputs in the sound control panel for two of the outputs on the mobo, but they both are only left-channel. I'm following this guide: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide and when I use this command (the one that should be downloading Big Sur): python macrecovery.py -b Mac-E43C1C25D4880AD6 -m 00000000000000000 download I get the .dmg file for Catalina and not Big Sur. I believe it is something wrong with the MacID and not sure how to get ahold of a different one.
