how do i obtain a clean DSDT form an existing OC system (Catalina). I'm trying to do a fresh install of Ventura. I tried using SSDTTime from my Catalina at first, only to discover that the option to dump DSDT is disabled by design because that'll not give me the unadulterated DSDT which makes sense. I've seen some posts floating the idea of using the hackintool to do this, but since i'll be booted in to my current Catalina before doing this, wouldn't the same logic apply that the DSDT will not be clean? So I tried dortania's suggestions viz. SysReport Quirk or UEFI shell, but I can't seem to make my USB bootable. I need to boot in to the picker on the USB in order for SysReport Quirk to dump. So far i've followed the USB creation guide up to the kext section (have gathered all kexts), but not gone on to the further sections (SSDT, config.plist) etc. Is it because i don't have any SSDTs and config.plist that my USB is not bootable? ensues chic...

Hi. I wanted to make a Hackintosh and I was following a guide off YouTube. It told me to get my USB drive and use a tool called "balenaEtcher" to put the MacOS files on it. I booted off the USB and it came up with a menu visually the same but different in options from the video. The video showed "Install MacOS" and 2 other options, but mine only showed "Bootcamp Windows". I assumed that was a step he accidentally skipped (which was very stupid of me, probably), and entered into "Bootcamp Windows". It just went to a black screen, so I restarted my PC. I need to tweak usb settings, dial in gpu, and upgrade to newer os. everything is pretty much working out of the box. i haven't tested bluetooth, but headphones audio, screen display, and usb is working. This is a really fun build process, great community, and just enough hacking pain and puzzles to make for an awesome project! Took about 3 days of tinkering. Good luck out there! Everything that was needed to boot works and overall runs wonderfully, the only thing that i can't figure out how to get working is the audio for the system. So I've been trying to reinstall MacOs Big Sur into an Acer Extensa 2540 and when getting to the picker, it does not display anything at all. The inputs seem to be working but the display is completely dark. I've tried to unplug and replug the hdmi, and turning the display on and off, but the screen just stays black The system specs are: Intel i3-6006U @ 2.00GHz 12 GBs of SODIMM Ram I don't know the motherboard model due to it being a laptop, unfortunately. And in any case, it worked before a few OpenCore versions ago, around 0.7.8 if I recall correctly but currently doesn't work at all. And important note: I am not using the integrated display. I removed it long ago so I use an external HDMI display instead. Hi there I managed to install macOS on an HP laptop using the OpenCore method (Someone checked the EFI files and it said orliana or smthin but BIOS says OpenCore so idk anymore) and macOS works fine. But I decided to install another drive into the laptop since it supports 1 M.2 and 1 SATA. The M.2 had macOS and the SATA had Windows 11 Installed. When I boot Windows 11 from the BIOS picker it has no problems, but if I load Windows 11 from OpenCore bootloader it Blue Screens and Says ACPI BIOS ERROR. After Windows Blue screens the laptop just refuses to boot until I reseat the memory. Tried getting help from the hackintosh discord server but no use as they only want me to use OpenCore which is what the BIOS claims. Any help pls Picking the OS from the BIOS is annoying when I could use the bootloder. Hey everyone. Right now I'm having issues booting into the macOS recovery to install it. Using Ventura. Can't get past the verbose screen before my PC restarts.
