After weeks of trying to get my Late 2012 iMac (13.2) to install Ventura using OpenCore I finally managed to get it to work this morning - I had to download the installer to a SSD via my much older MacBook (2008) and then configure the OpenCore to patch through the later iMac. It works and runs... to a point. However it keeps constantly crashing mid-task... can be installing some software, running a program... the thing just freezes up (totally unresponsive) and needs a reboot. Then it will randomly do it again mid-task when restarted, but it's too unstable to work off. I've tried a different SSD that was configured/installed to my intended iMac and also tried to install it on the tiny partition internal drive - all using the relevant OpenCore patches and all with the same outcome. I even tried Monterey incase it was a Ventura issue - but the same thing, freezing/crashing. Has anyone had any issues with it continually freezing and managed to find a cure? submitted by ...

Hello I was using Catalina on my HP620 wihout problems but since it is outdated and discontinued so it was hard for me to use other newest apps. as they dont support old MacOS, anyways I upgraded to Big Sur and it installed everything and then I got my Big Sur log in screen however I get no keyboard and mouse, it seems like the USB ports are not configured yet, I do have USBv2 and USBv3 physical ports but none of them working I guess.. I also tried use PS/2 mouse but it won't recognize on macos and I tried to research to resolve this problem and this is what I found so far to fix this problem, not sure because I haven't tested it because I dont know what they are saying (see the picure below). One of my classmates has a decent Macbook which means that on the one hand I'm jealous of it and on the other hand he can do it (but so can I) just shut it down and it's ready to go... but unfortunately I sometimes forgot to charge it and it ran out of power in sleep mode and lately it always throws up a problem when I shut it down. I have a HP Prodesk 400 G2 Mini: 16GB 2133MHz Ram 500 GB sata ssd <- primary 500GB NVME ssd <- secondary/data Core i3-6100t intel UHD 530 I hacked and booted successfully into big sur and ran it for 5 days, but when I got the monterey installer from apple app store, and ran it, it rebooted. After reboot, whenever I try to select my ssd, it would go to a black screen. Note I am using the DP port, not VGA. After reboot, the upgrade changed the name of the recovery drive to recover 12.0. But both the drive and recovery will not boot, but go into a black screen/no signal state. Please help as there is no guide for this machine. I’m running Monterey on a thinkpad t440s. There is a specific guide to hackintoshing it and it says the bios whitelists some Wi-Fi cards for no reason. I however have got the only one it hasn’t. In macOS, it shows me the Wi-Fi networks but whenever I enter the password to my one and click join it just turns off and when I turn it back on it just says something about and error and to hold a key to proceed. I'm doing a project in my IT course and we wanted to make a computer network with windows machines, Linux machines, and a MacOS machine, however we are using old computers provided by the school, running a Ryzen 3 3200g (I'm mentioning it because I saw something about compatibility but couldn't find a list about it) I was able to make my pen-drive readable by Mac, and installed a Mac os version called Big sur, however when I went to boot it like I do with other OS's it went into a black screen and couldn't boot, is it possible for me to run it in this system? Hi, made USB stick on windows. Installing Sonoma 14.5 on Asus z790 Proart 14700k 6950 XT. Right after choosing to install I get this error. 13” Late 2013 MacBook Pro. Battery died, then drivers stopped working (I can confirm graphics stopped, and I presume the others did too), which persisted through a reboot. After I reran the root patches, it booted and the graphics drivers seem to work (proper colour of password box), but attempting to log in results in it showing the spinner, then it disappears and hangs. I had a Hackintosh built a few years back, it has Mojave OS running on it. I haven’t updated the OS in last 3 years. But now the google chrome and some apps have started to notify me every once in a while to update the system OS. As I’m not aware of anything about the installation of OS in hackintosh machines, I want to know if I could just log in to the app store and download the update for the OS. Hello! Changed my old but damaged USB mouse to new (USB too) mouse. With old mouse sleep/hibernation works fine but with new one after going in hibernation mode, hackintosh wake up and try to go in hibirnation agan by loop. USB maping is made in Hackintool. Just starting to install Sonoma 14.5, maybe things off to slow start. I get error about no schema for OEMTableId context delete. So it is referring to my config.plist entry where I specify dropping the table. At first I had 8 zeros. Not that I am getting this error, I took a look at my edited dmar table and see its OEMTableId as "EDK3 ". So the 4 characters followed by spaces.
