Anyone have an NVMe m.2 drive working on High Sierra without patches yet?

I have a Samsung Evo 1TB as my boot drive using RehabMan’s patch-NVMe script. As I understand it these drives will be able to be used natively under 10.13, but please correct me on that if I’m wrong. It’s been working without issue for months now but it would be nice to slim down my EFI folder a bit and not have to worry if this method will continue to work in the future.

Apologies if this has been asked already. I had a look through recent posts but difficult to be thorough on mobile.
