AppleIntelE1000e seems to crash once a day.

Strange issue with my Hackbook. It's an HP Probook 6450b (standard first gen i5 Arrandale laptop). Pretty much working flawlessly other than this issue. It seems to lose network connectivity every day or so, requiring a reboot. I have narrowed it down to the integrated Intel 82577LC NIC using the latest AppleIntelE1000e.kext, as when using a spare Apple USB ethernet adapter I have leftover from when I had a MacBook Air, the issue does not persist. I have no problem continuing to use the USB adapter, however I am missing some of the speed a gigabit connection provides, as my internet is faster than 100mb/s. Thanks for any help/insight!

Edit for clarification: This machine is not my main Hackintosh, it's being used as a media server for my network and Fire TV and is running Yosemite, so ignore my flair. I can't seem to get El Cap or Sierra to run nearly as smoothly on this thing.
