I know I'll have to find a solution for the faceplate, but I wonder if anyone has transferred a superdrive from an old mac to their hackintosh. I figure the kexts should be there already, but it's more of a physical obstacle than a technical one.
I've got an old 1st gen Intel iMac that I'm gutting for parts and projects, and I thought I might be able to repurpose into my hackintosh tower.
I was unable to find information related to this through searching, so I thought I'd open this up to the community for feedback. Any thoughts or concerns welcome.
