Motherboard Dead, Upgrading Hackintosh from i5 750 1156 Socket?

Hey Guys, So I have a really old build (built in 2010) with the following specs:

Intel Core i5 750@2.66Ghz

nVidia GT220 1GB DDR3 Graphics Card

Gigabyte P55-US3L Motherboard

120GB SSD + 500GB HDD

8GB DDR3 RAM

My Hackintosh wouldn't boot up and initially i thought it was a PSU issue hence bought a new PSU 80+ Bronze 500W. But turns out, my motherboard's fried.

I've been looking around and 1156 is completely obsolete. The only 1156 available is of a cheap brand called Longwell which sells for around $50, but the seller mentioned it was extremely low quality and unreliable.

Initially, I wanted to make a Mac Mini Deluxe based on the specs from tonymacx86, however my current Zalman tower becomes useless then. Looking around, i found ASUS H170 PLUS-D3 and ASUS Z170P-D3 for around the same price $50 to $70. And an i3-6100 for $120.

I can re-use my DDR3 RAM that i have and since I already have a new PSU that should work fine.

What do you guys suggest? Go for the MacMini Deluxe specs or get the i3 with a new motherboard or just get the cheapest MB (not sure if the Longwell MB supports OSX)? Won't be using this for gaming, mostly just day to day tasks with a bit of XCode usage.
