Should I buy Kaby Lake?

So my Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Aura came today! It appears to have a BIOS version of 3016, according to the stickers on the board and box. This means that it is compatible with Kaby Lake chips. They are the same cost as Skylake, and with native support right around the corner, I feel like I should buy the 7th gen chips. I will also be dual booting Windows, so it’s always nice to have the most up to date CPU that I can. Should I buy a Kaby Lake CPU? Will MacOS accept the 7th gen chip in a 100 series motherboard?
