Upgrading Mavericks to Sierra-- what do I need to do in between?

Hey guys, I currently have a hackintosh running 10.9.4, which was the current version when I built it. I finally have to upgrade at this point as the latest version of Logic Pro requires it, and it's what I use it for primarily. I've found conflicting research around so dumb question time-- what's the easiest way to do this? Do I have to upgrade to each major version, or can I just download the combo update and skip straight to Sierra? Do I have to use multibeast?
