I installed a vainilla 10.10.5 with clover over a dell laptop (3421) and after put some kext in others folder and patch dsdt I have a fully working machine even webcam.
I copy the partition with Carbon Copy and update to Sierra 10.12.4 and initially after some tweaking with kext and confi.plist again I can boot but not without Applenullcpupowermanagment, I tried a patch again ssdt with a lot of guides bit i have kernel panics if I remove nullcpu kext.
Also I don’t have full backlight support and the system feels a little more slow for every task.
I really want Sierra because a lot of apps don’t update anymore for Yosemite but cpu management and backlight support is important.
Should I stay in Yosemite?
Here is all I tried for cpu management and backlight support without success, anytime y remove applecpupowermanagment.kext I have a kernel panic.
