What am I doing wrong?

I get this when I try to boot. Since it's happening in the first couple of lines it's gotta be basic and my fault, right?

I have UEFI items prioritized in the boot hierarchy.

Question about new Hackintosh build (from a newbie)

Hello /r/hackintosh,

I have been doing some research and I think that my computer has the ability to become a hackintosh but I am not certain. I figured I would ask the experts from this subreddit to confirm whether or not the build works. Here's the specs, it's a Dell Optiplex 7010:

CPU - Intel Core i7 (3770) 3.4GHz Quad Core Processor

HDD - 500GB Seagate or Western Digital

On Board Graphics - Intel Integrated Graphics

Processor - 3rd Gen Intel Core i7-3770 Processor (8MB, 3.4GHz) w/HD4000 Graphics

Memory - 8GB, NON-ECC, 1600MHZ DDR3,2DI MM

Total Memory Slots - 4

DVD - 8X SlimLine, DVD+/-RW

Network Connections Gigabit Ethernet

USB Ports - 10 Total (4 - Front, 6 - Rear)

Expansion Slots - 2 - PCI-E x16 Half Height 1 - PCI-E x1 Half Height 1 - PCI

Case Type - SFF Desktop

Here's a link to the eBay page if you need it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Optiplex-7010-3-4-GHz-Intel-Core-i7-3770-8GB-500-GB-HDD-Win-10-Pro-x64-/182590953956?rmvSB=true

I found one on Craigslist for $150 so I'm going to buy that if the hardware works out. I probably will replace the default HDD with an SSD later, but that's not too important right now.

Thanks!

Niresh Yosemite installs fine on Acer Aspire X3400 but reboots on "Starting Darwin x86_64" when booting from HDD.

The system's CPU is the AMD Athlon II X3 435 and also has a GT 640 installed. Help would be appreciated.

I had previously tried to install El Capitan but no matter which boot flags I used it would hang on "set VeryLowDisk ... "

Steaming Apple keynotes freezes computer?

As the keynote is coming up I was hoping to watch it but realised that my hackintosh can't seem to handle streaming Apple keynotes in Safari.

When I tried to open the WWDC livestream a few months ago my whole computer crashed, the only way to fix it was to force shutdown my computer by holding the power button down.

Has anyone else had this issue? and is there a fix for it?

Apple Announces New iTunes Store Credit Payment Option for Affiliates

Apple has announced a new iTunes Store Credit payment option for affiliates.

We are excited to announce that you can now choose to receive your affiliate commissions in iTunes Store Credit. The credit can be used to purchase anything on the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and the Mac App Store.

Currently, Apple supports iTunes Store Credit payouts in US Dollars or Japanese Yen only. This means that if you have transactions that have taken place on the US or JP iTunes Storefronts, you will be able to redeem these commissions as iTunes Store Credit through the affiliate dashboard.

Clover error: System uptime in nanoseconds

Hi there, I'm tried to install a vanilla copy of MacOS Sierra into a USB. I took the installer from a VM so I actually have access to a Mac. Used Clover to make the EFI folder and used Clover Configurator to setup the config.plist file.

However when I booted into the USB with the installer, I got to the Apple Logo with the loading bar which didn't load.

So I ran it with the Verbose flag and got stuck at a line saying: "System uptime in nanoseconds: ". (Image: https://ibb.co/hX1iSQ)

What am I missing?

Here my specs!

PROCESSOR: Intel i5-3210M, 2.5GHz GRAPHIC CARD: NVidia 610M (2GB) RAM: 12GB

Trouble booting after install/post-install

I'm having trouble getting my new Hackintosh to boot successfully. Like many other people in this forum, the startup loading bar gets about half way and gets stuck. I tried the startup again in verbose mode but wasn't sure what to make of everything. Here's a pic of the log.

I'm using a Gigabyte GA-Z270N-WIFI mobo and an intel 7th gen i5-7600K.

Help going over checklist before setting up Hackintosh

Hello,

Hopefully this post doesn't violate any rules. I'm a bit new to this so I'll try my best to get back to all replies.

I need to install (dual boot) Mac OS X Sierra on my desktop PC for better program compatibility (mainly Adobe XD) and some Unix stuff. I have a 2011 MBA running some older version of OS X and two 32GB flash drives. I also have a brand new SSD for OS X and any files I'll want to use. At the end of this project, I want to have a wiped, clean MBA running Sierra, and my desktop running Sierra.

I have verified that the MBA will work with Sierra. My PC should too, it has a 6700k/16GB DDR4-3200/GBT-Z170 Gaming 5/1070.

I have read the tonymacx86 guide, but I still want to make sure that I'm doing everything efficiently. I would really appreciate someone verifying my checklist:

  1. Copy important files from MBA to USB 1
  2. Install OS X Sierra from the App Store
  3. Follow instructions to make bootable drive for USB 2
  4. Install Sierra on MBA
  5. Wipe MBA
  6. Install new SSD in PC
  7. Plug in USB 2, go to BIOS, install OS X (I've read that there are some issues with OS X wiping SSDs on re-installation, will this wipe the other SSD I won't put OS X on?)
  8. Set up OS X on PC
  9. Download Mac NVidia drivers for GTX 1070
  10. Under About, I should see Intel i7 6700k/16GB DDR4-3200 Memory/NVidia GTX 1070
  11. Install boot manager (not sure which one)

Is there anything I'm missing, or that I should be doing differently? Thanks so much!

Any way to customize the display hardware settings in mac OS sierra with VMware?

So I recently installed mac os sierra using Vmware workstation 12.5. everything works decently so far, the only issue is that everything is INCREDIBLY tiny (icons, text, the menu bar at the top, EVERYTHING). The issue is my laptop is the razer blade stealth which has a 2560x1440p screen, but its only a 12.5 inch screen.

I’m not 100% sure about this, but I think the reason everything is so tiny is because mac os thinks I’m on a 41 inch screen so it scales it to what it would look like on a 41 inch screen, instead of a 12 inch screen.

Is there any way I can make it so that vmware recognizes my laptop’s display to be like 13 inches or so? My only “fix” to this is to change my windows 10 native resolution to 1360x768 which will be stretched on a 2560x1440 screen (everything will look blurry, not sharp). When I go to apple > system preferences > display settings, I can’t change the scalability because there is only one option (the resolution my pc is currently at)

The photo’s im posting might look normal to you on your monitor, but on my 12.5 inch screen everything is tiny btw.

What is the state of Hackintosh on Ryzen?

Hi,

After watching two youtube videos about Hackontosh Ryzen builds ( Here and Here) I've started to wonder if building ryzen based machines became easier in the recent weeks.

As I plan to build my own PC with Ryzen 1700, ASRock Taichi and gtx 1080 I thought it would be fun to try dualboot macOS and Win10.

So how's the state of ryzen based builds Is it possible to do it with my configuration? Any tips?

A few questions for my build

Hello! I've been wanting to hackintosh for a long time. I think I'm finally ready, but I've got a few questions!

1) Is my build even compatible? https://pcpartpicker.com/user/lloyd094/saved/kyWMnQ

2) I currently have Windows 10 installed. I plan to install a second SSD for the osx side. Do I need to reinstall Windows? I'd rather not have to.

3) Is there anything further I should know or tips to acknowledge?

Thanks for the help!

Can I get in trouble by using the IOS from my macs in a hackintosh vm?

I have the El Capt ISO and I want to throw MacOS into a vm image and play a bit.

And then I got thinking. Is there any risk to my real Mac computers from me using this? Does Apple have a history of being able to punish the hackintosh and the originators of the ISO?

Thanks.

FireWire interface causing CPU PM to misbehave

I have a Saffire Pro 40 that connects via a firewire card. I recently used Toleda's fix to resolve my CPUs PM issues, but had my interface turned off while I was going through the process. Everything worked... until I rebooted with the interface running. PM stopped working, maxing out frequencies as though in turbo boost all the time. When I reboot without the interface, PM works properly again. Any ideas what the problem could be? The interface worked both before and after PM, just PM is acting up. Full disclosure, I have the drivers for onboard audio set up, but because I had the interface from the beginning I never tested them fully.

Stuck on black apple screen after sierra install!

Hey all, i built my first "hackintosh" back in 2012 and it has served me well in the past 5 years or so, but being stuck on an older OS has started to hold me back from using newer programs and hardware that i own, so upgrade it is!

Now it's been quite some time since i have last done this and all was going well. Sierra installed with no issues and i ran the multibeast set up... now when i restart and attempt to boot into Sierra i'm met with a black screen with a white apple logo and a loading bar that wont run.

My config; GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (legacy bios) Intel i7-2700k (Sandy Bridge) EVGA GTX 660 FTW 16GB Kingston ram (4x 4gb sticks) 60GB SSD (boot drive) & 2TBHDD

It is my suspicion that it may be related to the graphics card, as i believe that may have been the problem during my first install many years ago. I have spent the last few hours following suggestions on older threads to no avail, so my last option was to post here. I have posted my Verbose log below if there is any information you may need i will be pleased to provide it for you. Thank you in advance and i hope we can get this running together!
