Hello everyone! A new guy here! I installed my first ever hackintosh yesterday and I spent around 16 hours already on setting it up. I learned everything that I know through watching/reading tutorials and it is the first time I am asking for help.
I managed to install macOS Sierra 10.12.5 but I am struggling to install a bootloader. My first question:
- I have this motheboard Asus P8P67 Evo which according to some sources is one of the best for hackintosh. But I would like to get some guidance on how to set it up for macOS Sierra since this motherboad is kinda old and all of the tutorials that I have found they are helping to set up the older Mac OSes.
What I tried: 1. Up until now I have been trying to install Clover UEFI bootloader in EFI partition. Doesn't work. I tried to format EFI partition to FAT32. Still no success. All I see is 3 boot menu entries: Mac os x Mac os x *My SSD
I get this error one I try to boot from one of the options above "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key".
My newest attempt was to install Legacy Boot which actually worked. But it only loads me to some kind of another boot menu. My next attempt is going to try to install Chimera as bootloader which I never tried before.
I would be happy if someone shares some guidance on how to install macOS Sierra on Asus P8P67 Evo motherboard in a way that I can load it without USB.
