Screen goes black as the starting bar goes midway after installing nVidia drivers

Hi,

For the past 10 days I have been trying to do this one thing, getting the nVidia web driver to work. I have tried every documented solution, but my misery does not seem to end.

I got to install the mackintosh in under 30 minutes and since then I am trying to figure out what could be wrong. Please let me know if there is anything left to do. I can establish a VNC connection when the display goes black, and from there I could verify that the nVidia driver is working, but I could never use the main screen, always the remote connection. Can somebody please help me.

1- Tried everything advised at tonymacx describing the same problem. (Lilu, NvidiaGraphicsFix, AGDPFix, KernelandKextPatches)

2- Disabled iGPU

3- Tried all machine definition, 14,2, 5,1, 6,1, 12,1, 13,1, 15,1, 17,1.

4- <dict> <key>InjectKexts</key> <string>YES</string> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <true/> <key>NvidiaWeb</key> <true/> </dict>

5- <dict> <key>ATI</key> <false/> <key>Intel</key> <false/> <key>NVidia</key> <false/> </dict>

I am pretty much sure I am doing some stupid mistake. Can you please suggest something.
