Apple has long been rumored to have been working on a television but those rumors never materialized. Despite stepping down as CEO, Steve Jobs had been focusing his energy on reinventing the television. Walt Mossberg says that Jobs called him the night he said he was handing over control of Apple to Tim Cook and told him about his plans for a television set. “I think we figured out a way to do it, and it’s going to be fantastic,” Jobs said.
