[SUCCESS] Intel Core i7-2600K + GTX 1060 6GB

So first off let's talk specs. This is a pretty Mix-n-match system, with items from 2017 all the way to 2011:

  • Intel Core i7-2600K SandyBridge CPU @ 3.5GHz
  • 16GB of generic Kingston DDR3 1366MHz RAM
  • ASUS P8H67-M EVO Motherboard
  • EVGA GTX 1060 6GB Graphics Card
  • TP-Link Archer T9E AC1900 for NATIVE WiFi

After some work I got iMessage, HDAudio, Graphics, and Intel SpeedStep working. The only annoyance is that every time I boot I have to go into the Clover preferences -> Graphics Injection -> check Use nVidia WebDriver, but other than that this is pretty much what I would describe as the complete MacOS experience.

Story time!
I installed MacOS with a Unibeast drive I THINK but it may have very well been a vanilla one. WiFi was an absolute treat since it worked right from the getgo. Next I took to Clover configurator to give my Mac an SMBIOS (Mid 2011 iMac in this case) and used the guide linked below to get iMessage working. After I finished with it I remember thinking "wow that was surprisingly straight-forward". Then I messed around with my brand new iMac for a few days and downloaded Spotify just to realize my sound didn't work. OS after a lot of browsing around I used the script linked below and somehow IT WORKED. Lastly 2 hours ago I decided to fix the PowerManagement and P-States so SpeedStep would work. Using the guide linked below and using the script I was up and running in about 30 minutes with the SSDT (make sure to get rid of NullCPUPowerManagment if you have it, I didn't). And that's it! My Mac now runs as an ACTUAL Mac as far as I know knocks on wood.

Credit where credit is due
I used this guide to get iMessage working
I used this script to get sound working on my board
And lastly, I used this guide to generate an SSDT to get my PowerManagement up and running.

I hope I didn't bore you guys and thank you to this amazing community who helped me out lots! :)
