Hi hackintochers,

Recently purchased a Fenvi FV8801 based on a previous recommendation. Able to connect to my wireless network and pair Bluetooth devices on my Windows 10 partition right out of the box - like magic.

macOS is only able to detect and pair Bluetooth devices - again, right out of the box. Status bar states Wi-Fi hardware is not detected. When in System Preferences, I now have the 'option' to Turn Wi-Fi On (previously grayed out), but nothing happens when doing so.

Anyone experience this in the past? Hoping it's a simple kext file I might of missed during installation.

I'm about to sell my Hackintosh and I'd like to wipe it clean without going through the hassle of reinstalling Clover etc.

Is there a way of doing it? A complete reset of OS X without destroying the EFI partition so it will just boot without any tweaks?

Hi guys, I need help doing a fresh install of High Sierra. I created the usb stick with my macbook and followed the instructions on tonymac.

If I try to install it from USB it gets stuck at around 90%. Do I have to disable my 1070 in BIOS and go with the onboard HDMI?

I had El Capitan on my machine before with a GTX 770, but switched it to a ZOTAC 1070 AMP Extreme. Couldn't upgrade directly from El Capitan and messed a lot of things up I guess. Since its not starting anymore.

First time install, so I don't have a hackintosh yet.

Also, side note, can I just use a partition and dual boot? Thanks.

I recently installed Sierra afte 5h of hell, but, when everything starts working fine, there's an issue. It's that OSx won't detected and use my GPU. I see eveything on my screen, but, 1st animations are laggy 2. got screen tearing on login screen and randomly using Safari 3. max resolution is 1280x720 and my display is 1680x1050 4. gpu detected as a 4MB gpu

So, I saw the thread that shows support for AMD cards, and my card is listed as supported, and, somewhere I read, my GPU is OOB, and the thread says I need to do this:

"In Clover, you have to set: - FakeID / ATI = full ID - Inject / ATI = true - FBName = framebuffer name - FixDisplay = true"

Seems easy but the thing is, I'm totally new to Hackintosh stuff. So, I find Clover very very hard. I installed Sierra using it, installed the Clover app for it. So, what and how do I need to do in Clover, I couldn't find any useful Clover tutorials out there, thanks in advance.

The problem is, Apple removed the Sierra installer from the App Store so there's no way to get that.

What should I do?

I recently upgraded my Z97N to High Sierra. I read it has native support for the rx480. I had to remove my custom clover config to get High Sierra working. I came across a strange issues. When I have both screen plugged into the 480 it shows up as my primary graphics card and FCPX crashes upon opening. When I reboot and put one hdmi into the motherboard the intel graphics show up as the primary card and it works fine. Do I need to wait for a FCPX update or am I missing an easy fix?

I have the opportunity to purchase an Alienware asm100-1580 that has been converted to windows 10 for a steal. I was wondering if there was any way to convert it into a hackintosh. From what I have searched on here and tonymacx86 there hasn't been anything mentioned about this steam machine. It has a core i3-4130T in it (which I have seen converted to a hackintosh) as well as an 860m. I am assuming I will have to convert the wifi card to get it to work wirelessly (not sure if it's compatible or not) but that's an easy fix. I am assuming it is a custom motherboard from Dell so I don't know if that hurts or helps. So this leads to my question:

Is it hackintosh compatible? If so does anyone have any helpful links? If not, what's stopping it?

I select uefi boot mode. alc1150 ,fakesmc 6.25-333 1759. usb 3.0 3rd party, imac 17.1. The installation fails I receive installation error from multibeast 9.2.1. How else can I install latest kexts for asus z10 deluxe? Should I just use kext wizard?

The search for r/hackintosh did not come up with any helpful results for this issue. I've seen a few YouTube videos regarding the unverified App Store problem, but they have not worked.

Anyone else having this issue? My final goal how this build is to run FCP.

installed the update and then the Nvidia drivers, reboot and all works.

I was running Sierra 10.12.6 pretty fine with Photoshop CS6 but after upgrade to High Sierra I can't open the app. I've tried Photoshop CC 2014 and have the same bug. I'm able to use PS CC 2017 but it extremely slow in a hard drive (and isn't an option to buy a SSD now). Anyone knows what is going on?

Just updated to High Sierra, installed APFS.efi , updated Clover to 4220, updated SMBIOS, and all good, installed on 2nd try.

After I was inside my machine again I updated the Nvidia Web Drivers and rebooted, now I can't see anything when I boot with my GPU, I need to use my iGPU to get to my hack again, tried to update Lilu to 1.17 and nothing, what can I do? Thanks.

recently I've installed Sierra on p5g41t-m lx board with nvidia geforce 210 gpu and 21 inches screen which is 1920x1080*60 Mhz

everything works well and the nvidia drivers are working too expect the display resolution.. it's only works right but with small screen at 1600x1200

i tried 1920x1440 the screen height goes beneath the monitor boundaries but the width is perfect.. but with 1920x1080 the height is perfect but the width has black bars on both sides..

I also posted yesterday but I didn't get any response, so I hope that this isn't spamming (Apologies if it is). I recently upgraded to High Sierra and since then iTunes has been giving up on me quite a lot. Here are crash reports on three different occasions. The main problem seems to be iTunes trying to access unallocated memory resource, triggering a SIGSEGV. I own a HDD and stuck with HFS+ for the installation if that's relevant. Crash Report 1, Crash Report 2 and Crash Report 3.

Not only am I a complete noob at this (i've done as much reading as i can) but i am attempting to build a high sierra machine from scratch (i started all this days after losing Sierra from the app store)

My question is this: is it normal that i can only boot using integrated graphics for now? If i proceed with OS X install etc, I'll presumably get the chance later on to add the new NVIDIA web drivers and add the card back in at that point? At the moment if i boot with the GPU installed, i get no BIOS screen.

EDIT: Just to expand on what happens when the GPU is actually installed in the PCI/16 slot, both it's fans spin up. It's LEDs light up. After a few seconds the fans spin down. i have both an HDMI from the mobo and a DVI from the GPU going into the same display so i can test. i'm 99% positive i've attached the GPU to the mobo and the cables form the PSU to it correctly (the headers seem foolproof, and fit fine)

Hello I was wondering if I could get some help. I have a dual boot hackintosh that was working fine with windows 10 and El Capitan on the same Samsung evo ssd. To get windows 10 to install I had to disconnect 2 HDD's after installing all Windows 10 updates I finally had a working system and double checked I could boot into both OS's. Once successful I shut down and plugged in my extra 2 HDD's but now when I boot windows it shows the spinner then gives me a black screen. Anyone know how to get rid of this?

Whats the point? Why not just buy a mac??

I recently posted having issues booting the High Sierra installer, but ended up fixing that by changing from static DSDT/SSDT patching to hotpatching.

Now I've managed to get it almost all working, but have unusual screen glitches. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it, but it's almost like the rows of pixels are shifted out, and makes the device unusable. A temporary fix is to shut and reopen my laptop, but that causes odd flicking every so often. Simplest to view it, so take a look here.

Without further ado, here's my new Clover folder, again with sensitive details removed. There is also the source for my tiny SSDTs.

Note that my kexts in the 'Other' folder are solely for critical boots. I have installed them to /S/L/E, along with the following others:

• AppleALC
• IntelGraphicsFixup
• BrcmPatchRAM2
• BrcmFirmwareRepo
• CodecCommander
• AppleSmartBatteryManager
• AsusNBFnKeys

These are all up to date (minus CodecCommander which is 2.6.2 not 2.6.3).

Hopefully someone has found a fix, or might be able to point me in the right direction.

I have working HD4400 with QE/CI/GL and HDMI works, but for all I am worth, I cannot get HDMI/DP Audio device to appear when connected :-(

I know I probably need to do some seriouspatches to my DSDT and some SSDT's for IGPU (currently using rename ACPI patch in Clover) and hda-gfx and also BOD3 to HDAU???

I have HDEF, and audio works well with internal speakers, headphone/microphone/internal microphone.

My BIOS has Audio DSP disabled in UEFI BIOS, because when enabled it disables Azalea, meaning no audio devices appear whatsoever. There is also an option for what codec to report... IDP, Cirrus, Realtek, None (I have Realtek selected).

If you have HD 4400 mobile with HDMI-AUDIO, PLEASE PLEASE give me some guidance.

I know it's a dicey laptop, with LOTS of DSDT patches... but this was a strange one. Using MBP11,1 SMBIOS with correct values.

At the point where it stops, it is the standard Apple "Cannot be installed on your computer - diagnosis" message.

Any ideas?

Looking for help on a part list for video editing that is compatible for a hackintosh build. Use of computer will be for 4K video editing and heavy after effects use. Looking for a setup that is fast for rendering and previewing and trying to get a good build with a solid 4K monitor between $2000-3000. Well, I'm having a problem here: the system just does not start if I use an SSDT generated by ssdtPRGen.sh. I took the EFI folder from the Olarila installation image and threw it to the EFI partition on the local disk.

In this, the system boots quietly. If you put SSDT.aml in the "ACPI \ Patched \" folder and mark the "drop all oem", the system simply only reaches the Clover screen and that's it. I do not get any log messages, or anything. Only the screen turns black and the HD activity indicator light blinks without blinking.
