Basebinaries - Sierra “To download and install...with Apple” but nothing happens?

I’ve got a rather old Dell XPS15 (9550 - Haswell i7 and a 1TB SSD)which I’ve had dual booted before but wiped it after I lost patience for not having wireless (gotta love intel wireless). Decided I’d give it another go since this laptop is either gonna become a paperweight if I don’t do something with it. Ran through the clover/create install media and modified my configuration plst for hd4600 graphics. Booted it up and panicked. So I tried again using basebinaries and got to the installer no problem. Only issue now is when I run the installer, two rather odd things happen. 1) Instead of saying install macOS Sierra, it gives me the options as if I’m using a traditional recovery partition of a Mac (restore from backup, get help, reinstall etc) 2) I try to click reinstall and it tells me my computers eligibility needs to be verified with Apple before downloading and installing Sierra. When I click continue, nothing happens. I do have an active internet connection established via a usb to Ethernet dongle which is definitely giving me an internet connection.

Thought?
