I've been running into issues with my hackintosh completely rebooting. It seems to only happen with something GPU intensive [i.e. after effects/premiere scrubbing].
I'm running MacOS Sierra and used the Vanilla install method mentioned here.
Hardware list:
i7-6800k
Asus x99-aii
32GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX ram
1080ti evga [running current nvidia web drivers]
500GB NVMe Samsung Drive
10g sfp+ SolarFlare network card [with appropriate drivers]
The system is completely stable doing only CPU intensive tasks like CPU rendering in Cinema 4D, but then crashes with GPU intense tasks.
However, the crashes seem somewhat random. I could be working in premiere for an hour without a single issue and then scrub back to the beginning and the entire system lock up and crash.
Also, I'm running windows 10 on another SSD and everything is rock solid on that install [games, premiere, AE all run fine without lockups or BSOD]- So I don't think it's a hardware issue.
I started looking through logs in the console application, but can't seem to find anything outstanding- is there something specific I should be looking for in here?
Help?
